Joan slowly rose to her feet, her eyes wandering to look at every person that walked by the alleyway she stood in. It's hard to tell who is going up against those monster. She crossed her arms and lowered her eyes down to the ground. "I should try heading out now though," she murmured, turning around and heading towards the other end of the alleyway. The murmur of a crowd slowly began to get farther and farther as she approached a more smaller and quieter of Welk.

Once exiting the alleyway, Joan turned to her left and peeked her eyes over the people that stood taller than her. In the distance, she could see a small stable of horses, hoping she could at least take one without any trouble. They might want me to pay. She chewed on her lip, reaching into the small pocket of her dress to pull out the little money she had. This isn't enough...I think. A soft whimper escaped her mouth, turning her attention back towards the distant stable. Maybe I can make a deal. Feeling somewhat hopeful, Joan quickened her pace as she put the little money she had back into her pocket.

 

OOC: She's going into a village in Welk, hopefully the same one as someone else.

BIC:

The young girl smiled slightly as she entered the village on horseback, she looked around absorbing all the sights and (some unpleasent) smells. Hana leant down and rubbed her black horse's side soothingly. She'd decided to stop for a bit, give Blaze (her horse) a rest, gather supplies and pehaps even find a companion. She'd realised the enormity of the task before her and decided that help woldn't go amiss. However, deciding that was one thing, finding them was another entirely, she didn't even know where to start. With a sigh, she dismounted and led Blaze through the village, it was reasonably busy but crowds tended to part to let a horse through.

 

Ash eventually stopped pushing at the poor people of Welk. She eyed a woman with a black horse manuvering through the crowd. If I could ever spy another person hunting those monsters, I'd have to take a gamble and say she'd be one. Her mood didn't improve at the thought, but at least it hadn't darkened. She pushed a young man aside to stand in front of the woman and her horse. She admired the beast, but human companions...not so much. "Hey, you," she pointed at her with her onyx ladened staff, "I don't suppose you'd be going to hunt those eight monsters of Welk and Archil, would you?" Ash didn't remove her staff from the girl's face. Her nearly black eyes narrowed on her.

 

Hana raised her eyebrows in suprise at the woman, she didn't like they way they were threatening her but this may be a blessing in disguise. She kept a calm composure, hiding any emotions she was having. With her free hand she toched the staff and slowly moved it out of her face. She would of gone for her bow on her back but she didn't want to resort to violence so soon. "Mind getting that thing out of my face? And as it happens I am, I didn't realise it was that obvious. Why you asking?"

 

Ren had just gotten into the village his employer had told him about in Welk. He was suppose to be hunting the eight monsters of Welk and Archil, he had heard about them in legend and he knew if he was going to have a chance at them, he was going to need help.

 

Ash pulled her staff from the other girl's hands and back to her side. She relaxed her harsh glare and smiled slightly, "I'm looking for the same. I need someone who can provide me decent cover while I cast my spells. I simply need a companion for this hunt." Ash didn't know exactly how to come off as a good person. She softened her black eyes and relaxed her posture.

 

Victora sat outside of the stables, under the window, ear pressed against the wall. She couldn't make out much, but by the sound of things this guy was loaded. She had coins on her, yes, but why waste any? Not when he already had two horses anyway.

She heard him beginning to exit the stables and started to sniffle. It wasn't hard to force herself to cry, she was, after all, already depressed. And the tears that came ended up being real. She hugged herself and began wiping the tears to act like she wanted no one to see them. "I'm a failure...if only... Why does it have to end so soon?" As she spoke to herself her hair started to fall in her face and become slightly messy.

Victora looked towards the man with teary eyes that would match a puppy's. "I..." She sniffled and wipped her eyes, forcing the tears to stop now. It only slightly worked though. "I don't have enough for a horse... And without a horse it'd take forever to travel... And I need to get the demons before they kill Micheal..." She thought about it for a moment and figured the man may be less willing to help if he knew that he was her love, so she decieded to keep that bit to herself. "He's like my brother you see... And someone told me they took him. Please, could I come with you? You have two horses there..." Her eyes wondered to the horses and then back to him. "I'm helpful too. I can fight. I know magic." She pleaded, hoping he wouldn't turn her away. He did check to see if she was alright, though, so that's something, right?

 

Crow's ears had perked up when he heard the girl start crying. Two horses? He quickly spun around, the old geezer who wouldn't sell him a horse quickly left his mind, and looked around. Right there, not even ten yards away was the crying girl and a man holding the reigns of two horses. "So that's the big shot, huh?" Crow said, smiling. He quickly leaped over towards the man's back and threw an arm over his shoulder. "Be a gentleman, man!" He said as he used his gloved hand to point at the crying girl. "Help the poor girl out! She needs a horse. Look, she's in tears!" Crow looked down and clicked his tongue, shaking his head. "Tsk, tsk. It breaks my heart to see such a pretty face so sad," he said. Crow then leaned over to whisper in the big shot's ear, "Hey, better yet: why don't you and her share a horse? She might pay you back for being so...hospitable."



"If I go back into the castle...they might just arrest me again," Damian groaned as he walked the streets. "I guess I'll just ask around and see where the monsters have been seen. Maybe..." he hoped as he turned a corner, avoiding bumping into people and smiling to all who looked at him, "Someone can point me in the direction of the towers!" He quickly noticed he was in front of a pub. Having been in prison for quite some time, he started wanting a cold drink. "Well...where else would I hear better rumors than in a pub?!" He smiled, lying to himself about why he really wanted to walk in as he reached for the doorknob.

 

Rath closed his eyes and sighed as he sat in the pub of Archil. Better make up my mind on a target quick before the demons are killed, three towers are known, one demon can freeze and another can burn and the other can control plants. If only I knew magic then the situation will be in my favour Ryo thought to himself with a sigh and opened his eyes "'maybe teaming up doesn't sound like such a bad idea, they are demons, something I really shouldn't underestimate at all" Rath muttered quietly to himself looking around the pub "or maybe I am putting too much thought in this" Ryo said

 

Hana smiled, perhaps this woman wasn't so bad after all. "Magic, hur? Well..." Her mind was already made up but she didn't want too sound too eager, "Two stand a better chance than one alone. With a bit of luck on our side, my arrows should give you what you need and those deamons don't stand a chance" Her free hand reached up and touched the top of her bow, as she spoke.

 

Ash sighed quietly with relief. "Good, I was afraid I'd just have to kill you. Well now that we're...a team...I'm Ash Lecarde." Ash refused to apologize for anything. Everything she did, she did because she knew had to be done.

 

Hana smiled, "I'm Hana Moon, it a pleasure to meet you. Kill me? Hmm, remind me not to get on your bad side." She laughed, "Oh and this is Blaze, my beautiful black mare." She rubbed the horse's side lovingly. "So, what's the plan now?"

 

Ren had over heard Ash mention the eight monsters of Welk and Archil. This was probably his best chance to get some help so he decided to take it."If your going after the eight monsters of Welk and Archil I'm in" he said.

 

OOC: I'm thinking of making a Knight. Any teams looking for a heavy hitter?

BIC: "So this must be the pub," said Vincent as he walked in front of the wooden building. Turning the doorknob and pushing the door open, Vincent was surprised to find that there weren't many people in the tavern. There was a pianist playing a tune, a bartender serving drinks and cleaning the counter and a few people here and there drinking ice cold beverages while relaxing to the pianist's tunes. Compared to how loud the roaring crowds were outside, the pub was calm and tranquil. Walking up to the counter and taking a seat, Vincent waved his arm to catch the bartender's attention so he could make an order.

Walking up to where Vincent was, the bartender asked, "And what can get for you today, my fellow?"

"I guess I'll have an ale, if you don't mind," replied Vincent as he listened to the beautiful tune that the pianist was playing.

"Great choice," responded the bartender as he started to pour the drink into a jug. "So if I may ask. What brings you to this town?" asked the bartender while he passed the jug full of ale to Vincent. "I don't believe I've seen you around these parts before."

"Oh, I'm one of those people who's gonna go after those monsters that have popped up recently," said Vincent as he took a gulp of his beverage. "Right now I'm currently looking for some companions to help me out."

 

Once reaching the stable, Joan quickly looked around at the horses, soon spotting one that seemed to like. Walking over to it, she lightly graced her hand over the horses side and looked around for the owner of the stable. Seeing an old man walk up to her, she assumed he was the one selling this horses. She quickly reached into her pocket and pulled out the little money she had, showing it to the elderly man. "Will this be enough?" The male stepped forward and stared at the money before shaking his head lightly.

"Sorry, but that's not even half what'll pay for this horse," he said, eying Joan.

Joan frowned, moving her hand away from the seller and looking at the horse. "Is there any way I can get this horse? I really need it."

"Nope. Either you have the money or you don't," he answered, soon turning away from Joan and walking away.

Joan took a step forward, wanting to stop the man, but quickly stopped herself, figuring he wouldn't bother trying to make a deal. Damn it. She chewed on her bottom lip anxiously, wondering what other option she could choose. I guess I'll have to walk for a bit until I team up with someone. Sighing lowly, Joan stepped away from the horse she wanted and headed off towards the exit that was just at the other end of the stable.
