Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

"Well, then, let's go!" David said, trying not to be too excited.

 

Rebbeca giggled at David's nervous excitemnt and gave Nibs a little bow. "Lead the way good sir." she said in her best adult voice. This failed alittle because she couldn't stop smiling.

 

Nibs's jaw dropped. "A game on the way to a game? She's a genius!!" The Lost Boys all cheered.

"Follow the Leader!" the twins shouted together.

"Go on Nibs," Peter pointed to one of the ways out of the Home Under the Ground.

Nibs grinned widely and waved his arm for everyone to follow him. "Come on, everyone!"

"This is fun!" Fawn fluttered quickly after Nibs and the other Lost Boys followed in suit of her.

 

Slightly grinned as well and waved David and Rebecca to follow them as they all followed Nibs outside.

Rebecca laughed and shrugged to David. She didn't mean to start a game but it looked fun! So she ran out after Slightly, waving breifly to Tink and Peter.

 

OOC: It's going to be a while until I reply. I've got a lot going on.

 

OOC: no worries. i know the feeling... if i didn't have a laptop i don't think i'd ever be on lol. don't stress and text me whenever if you need a mental break ^^

 

OOC: Okay, let's see what I can do.

BIC: Nibs marched proudly, leading the Lost Boys, David, and Rebecca around trees and bushes and making a much more complicated path than necessary.

OOC: Well that was extensive...

 

"This is taking forever," David moaned, getting bored instead of staying excited. "Let's practice already!"

 

"Just wait till you get in the air," Fawn said to David excitedly. She like his enthusiasm.

"There!" Cubby yelled, a little too loud. The twins covered their ears and sent Cubby a dirty look. "That's the place to practice."

"He's right," Curly nodded. He was antsy to see Rebecca and David get their flying lessons. It was always very entertaining to the Lost Boys.

"Head up to the top; we'll wait here," Nibs told Fawn, Rebecca, and David. "The top" meant the peak of a ten foot tall, grassy hill... with a sheer drop off. It wouldn't hurt too badly if someone fell from it, but it certainly wouldn't be fun either.

 

"Alright, let's do this," David said resolutely, and climbed to the top of the little hill. He spread out his arms happily, a concentrated smirk on his face. "Alright, what now?"

 

Rebbeca ran after David. When she got to the top of the cliff she looked straight down over David's shoulder, using his shoulders for balance. "oooh, you're gonna fall down there." she teased him, pointing down and nearly throwing him off balance. Her gaze fell on fawn and she grinned widely. "Let's sore!"

Slightly laughed at Rebbeca's teasings. He could see why Peter had decided to take her to neverland, aside from the obvious being related to Wendy and her child. Watching her and David talk and have fun was more fun then the lost boys had had for along time, it was new and exciting. He only wondered if they would leave like the others did... but this sad thought left his head almost as soon as it came. Thank goodness for goldfish-like attention spans

 

"Okay. First, you have to feel the wind." Fawn instructed. She hovered in front of Rebecca and David, her little wings fluttering to keep her in one place. "Which was is it blowing?"

 

"West?" David guessed, not really sure which direction was which right now.

 

Rebecca, still leaning over David's shoulder in a very unsafe manner next to the cliff, licked her finger and held it to the wind. "that way!" she said, pointing in the direction of the wind. she didn't know which direction it was either so decided pointing was a safer bet than a actual named direction

 

"You're both right!" Fawn smiled and gave them both a big thumbs up. "You guys have got a knack for this. Peter told you what to do to get into the air, right?"

 

"happy thoughts and pixie dust!" Rebecca replied, loudly, in David's ear. She wasn't sure if she was more quoting her mother and grandmother, or Peter himself, although it hardly mattered.

 

"So where's the dust?" David demanded, flapping his arms impatiently.

 

Fawn snapped her fingers. "That's right! You guys need pixie dust to fly! Silly me; I'm like a critter after hibernation." She laughed, amused by her animal fairy humor, and flew around the children to cover them with pixie dust.

 

Rebecca giggled as she and David were covered in pixie dust. She finally let go of him to skip off alittle from the cliff. "David come on! If you stand that close you can't get a good running start!" Depsite her plans to run and jump off the cliff and then fly, her happy thoughts and pixie dust covered self were already lifting her a few inches off the ground.

Slightly lightly punched whoever was standing next to him as he laughed at the three. "You think she'll ever come down?"

 

Cubby rubbed a sore arm. It seemed he was the one who was always getting punched by the other boys and his head bonked. "Ow.... I hope she falls! That's more fun to watch!"

"Yeah!" The others agreed. Nibs wanted to count how many times they would have to try to get as good a flyer as Peter. No one was better than him. Well, maybe Tinker Bell was, but she was fairy so she didn't really count.
