Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

OOC: no way where?

BIC: Rebecca stopped running and gave David a disapointed look. "Okay..." she agreed reluctantly. Now that David had interupted her gabbering, she could see he was right. Not that Peter wouldn't find them if they were lost but she had a feeling he might get distracted for a few hours first. "well let's get back there." her disapointment gave way to her smile that she'd been wearing ever since getting to neverland.

 

"So," David began as they walked back the way they came. "What do you think of this place? It's... different than what I imagined."

 

Rebecca looked around their path and up to the sky before answering. "I love it! It's better than I ever imagined." she finally replied. "No adults, no girls, no rules. And everything is new to us." she cocked her head to the side to look at David, "Do you like it?" she looked at him earnestly while asking, sensing in her long time friend that he was worried, even if it was only over getting lose.

 

David found himself a little skeptical right now. "I'm not sure yet," he began slowly. "I guess I just have to learn more about it before I decide."

 

"Huh?" Peter had stopped his joyful laughter long enough to notice that David and Rebecca were headed back to Hangman's Tree. Had they given up? Or did they figure out where the treasure was? Either way, Peter figured he should go back there and see what was up. He nose-dived down towards Hangman's Tree and then free fell into the slide-like trunk down into the Home Under the Ground. Once inside, his sat cross legged on his chair with his arms folded, very businessey, and waited for David and Rebecca.

"Come on, Tink; I'm going back with you." It was a bold thing for Fawn to say. No fairy but Tinker Bell had ever left Pixie Hollow. It was true that there were fairies throughout Neverland, but they were a different clan of fairies and had nothing to do with those in Pixie Hollow.

"Are you sure, Fawn?" Tinker Bell didn't want any of her friends taking risks just because she was having a little trouble with Peter again. "The Lost Boys can be rough."

Fawn waved her hand in the air dismissvely. "I can handle them. And besides, I train skunks, I think I can handle some boys' games." She puched the air in the style of a campion boxer to demonstrate her skills.

Tinker Bell had to laugh at that; the sounds of bells and chimes could still be heard in that soft giggle. "But is it okay with the Minister of Spring? Don't they still need you here?"

"For the love of Queen Clarion, go, Tinker Bell!" Fairy Mary exclaimed. "You're waistin' your time with that little lad."

Tinker Bell stared at her mentor, then gave her a grinning smile and huge hug. "Thank you. And thank you all!" She looked around at her Tinker friends, and to Terence.

"Before you go," Terence put in quickly. "Take this." He gave her a bag, made of a folded leaf, filled with pixie dust. But not just any pixie dust, it was blue pixie dust. "I saved it from the last blue moon. I figured someone might really need it."

"That means you," Fawn winked and nudged Tinker Bell in the side.

"Thank you, Terence," Tinker Bell took the blue pixie dust from him. Good-byes said to everyone, Tinker Bell and Fawn flew away from Pixie Hollow and back to the island of Neverland.

 

Rebecca nodded slowly, mulling over his words. "I guess that makes sense. You always are thinking with your head, David." she laughed lightly, tapping his forehead. "At least one of us does." she added as they returned to Lost Boy's hide out. "How long do you think the others will take to come back?"

 

"Back so soon?" Peter asked, a trouble-making tone in his voice. He wanted to make sure that they didn't find the treasure. The game wouldn't end until someone did, and he liked long games.

"Go idea! I'm sure someone saw Peter hide it!" Cubby agreed. He was glad Slightly was so smart.

 

Rebecca started at his voice. "oh so are you. Does that mean someone found the treasure?" she asked, looking around for the invisible winner.

Slightly grinned and the two ran off to find their fairy friends. He would have just found Tink but since she was being mad at Peter they had to ask someone else.

 

"I don't think that anyone did," David started, thinking. "But the fact that Peter's back here means... he's guarding the treasure... so we're close!"

 

"How do you know that?" Peter frowned. It was no fun when someone used their brain to solve the puzzle. He liked how the Lost Boys just ran around and looked everywhere.

"Who are we going to ask?" Cubby questioned. He didn't know many of the fairies and he deffinately could not speak with them. Peter was the only one who was able to talk in their language.

"Once we get to Peter, I'll give him a piece of my mind," Fawn announced proudly. She wasn't even watching where she was flying, and ran straight into Slightly. "Ow! Hey, watch where you're--" She stopped when she saw how big the person she ran into was.
Fawn, being an Animal Talent, could be understood by all beings.

"That's Slightly; Peter's second in command," Tinker Bell informed Fawn. "I wonder what they're doing."

 

"Them!" Slightly yelled an answer to Cubby, seeing the fairies who'd run into them. "Hey Tink. We're playing a game and wondered if either of you two had seen any treasure hidden around here?" he grinned at the two, apprently forgetting Tink's temper.

"So David's right!" Rebecca summed up, from Peter's reaction. "It must be in here, that's ever so clever, let's look!" she immediatly began walking around the room for any clues.

 

"Treasure Hunt," Tinker Bell explained to Fawn. "It's one of Peter's favorite games."

"Oooh, sounds like fun!" Fawn clapped her hands. "What kind of treasure is it?" She asked Slightly and Cubby.

Cubby was just staring open-mouthed at Fawn. He'd never understood a fairy before, but he could understand her.

Peter sighed; he wasn't going to stop the two from searching, so the game was pretty near over. That is, if they could find the treasure, they were so close and yet so far. Peter had put it somewhere that no one went but him.

 

David nodded and began to look around, thinking that the treasure might be in front of their eyes, but he didn't see anything yet.

 

"Uh, we don't know." Slightly admitted. "We were hoping you saw Peter hiding something." he nudged Cubby so he would stop letting his jaw hang open.

Rebecca hunted around. "What is the treasure anyways?" she asked, looking under and over everything she could spot.

 

"If I told you, it wouldn't be fun," Peter smiled, putting his hands behind his head. He knew none of the Lost Boys would dare go into his room and so that was where he'd hidden the treasure chest. It was right there, in plain sight, next to his little tree-trunk chair. "But I guess I could give you a clue... It's shiny!"

Tinker Bell shook her head no. And it wasn't a lie. She hadn't seen Peter hide anything, but she had seen him place Hook's treasure in his room -- and that wasn't really hiding it.

"Oh, you're lying!" Fawn exclaimed. She had a knack for telling when Tinker Bell was lying. "Tell me where it is; I won't tell them."

"No fair!" Cubby complained when Tinker Bell whispered the treasure's location to Fawn.

 

Rebecca stood in the middle of the room of the room and turned around slowly for anything she'd missed. "Well it's not here." she sighed. "is there anywhere else in the hideout?"

Slightly tapped his foot impatiently. "No fair, you've got to tell us or we'll lose!" The second in command tried explaining

 

"I can't tell you!" Peter said in a sing song voice. He was enjoying this. They were so close!

"Aw, they really want to win." Fawn put on a pouting face and looked to Tinker Bell. "Come on, let's help."

"It wouldn't be fair to the other boys," Tinker Bell pointed out. "But... they don't have to know."

Fawn squeeled happily and told Slightly and Cubby. "Go look in Peter's room! But don't tell him we told you!"

 

"Of course there is!" David exclaimed, still thinking. "He won't tell us, though."

 

"Hm, this is difficult." Rebecca mumbled. She walked up to Peter and gave him a skeptical look. "Did you really hid anything?" she asked, just to make sure he wasn't playing a trick on them.


Slightly gave Cubby a high five. "Yes! Let's go!" he ran off with Cubby following, neither of the boys remembering to say Thank you.

 

"Of course I did! Hook's treasure!" Peter replied proudly. "That old codfish didn't even notice when I took it!"

Cubby kept up with Slightly as best he could. He was excited to finally win a game -- and the most challenging one!

"Let's follow," Fawn quickly zipped after the two Lost Boys. She knew Tinker Bell could keep up with her, neither were Fast-flying pixies.
