Because I just don't get it. The Looney Tunes Show, which just happens to be on right now, is rated TV PG. Why?
crude humor maybe? I don't know I don't watch shows targeted at a demographic ten years younger than me. except mlp
Watch this movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Film_Is_Not_Yet_Rated All your questions will be answered.
Fantasy violence? It was fine 10 years ago but now it's like ERHMAHGERD! It's teaching children bad things! Everyone's gonig to grow up to be super aggressive and we're all going to die! Basically...
Well if TRON:Uprising somehow gets away with a Y7 rating. Especially when it has nightmare fuel like this. If that were in a live action movie, R rating. But hey, since it's not real people and they burst into pixels, Y7 it is. And this is Disney.
2012 is real. Earthquake? Armageddon? pfft no. Every child in every city will reenact every single Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons episode. Because, y'know, kids are stupid and they would do that.
And Tom and Jerry is rated TV-G, yet that happens to be one of the most violent cartoons I've ever seen
Again, because it was okay back then. I'm sure that's why Sleeping Beauty had Maleficent getting stabbed in the chest able to be shown.
Also, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", which dealt with things like sin, lust, religion, deformity, still managed to be rated G!
All I know is that people used to think that shows like these were ok. Now, thay react over the tiniest bit of violence, then again kids now a days seem to be getting dumber.
And the villain was a PRIEST. Why do people always think that Disney is a good, wholesome, Christian company?
