ugh the movie is SO GOOD and the comicsssss, unf i was supposed to get volumes 3-6 as a present from a friend, but he never gave them to me )': i really want to play the game as well, but eeeeeeeh i am too lazy
I really enjoyed the movie! Just got the first volume of the comic as a birthday gift and enjoying it so far. I actually thought the music used in film was really fitting (it might help that I'm in lesbians with Beck but that's another story).
It tells a different story with different characters. They had to cut out too much and change the ending. I always want an adaptation and I always get an interpretation.
"When I say 'They should make a movie out of this' I mean 'They should make a seventeen hour long movie where they don't miss out on any details, and everyone is cast perfectly and the whole movie is perfect' "
Every time I watch Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, I always wonder how someone like him could get a chick like that. One lucky nerd.
Movies and films are two different things that are trying to accomplish two different things. While books are entirely story, there is more to a movie than just it's story. A movie is trying to entertain an audience for a short two hour period, while a book is trying to engross the reader in it's story for however long is needed. Knowing that, a complete adaption of any book to film is nearly impossible to do without making some changes, there are things in books (such as structure) that just can't be done in film because of how a story is told in a book, vs how it is told in a story (there are also much more people involved in the production of a film than a book.) Now I've never seen the movie or read the comics, but that is just a general truth.
