My favorite song would have to be Lies. I discovered them when I heard Bring me to life during a sith grade choir concert. I was dancing. So I really like them. Does anyone else.
Evanescence is nothing more than a mediocre pop version of bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation and Epica.
I don't hate them, but I like Nightwish and Within Temptation a little bit better. I still like some of their songs, just not as great as the others
I love them. I'm sorry but I think Evanescence is one of the greatest bands ever. My faves are Bring me to life, My immortal, Tourniquet, Imaginary, Missing, Broken(Amy Lee and Seether) and The Last Song I'm Wasting On You. Amy Lee has such an amazing voice and I just love the band! <3
I can't help but love them. Their songs are something of a challenge for me vocally, I'm currently working on managing to do the low parts of The Only One. That's my favorite song atm, I also really like Sweet Sacrifice, Cloud Nine, Your Star, Good Enough, Hello, Whisper, My Last Breath and Haunted.
Evanescence? Pop? You've been listening to some very strange pop music, friend. Although I will admit that those three bands are quite awesome. Yeah I quite like many of their songs, but I've not been listening to them as much as I used to. Amy Lee has a fantastic voice, though.
I said "pop version." Basically, they're the "safe" alternative to symphonic metal by stripping out most of the metal elements. The result is easy commercial success, but not a very good band.
Evanescence is a pretty good band. Definetely not my favorite but they do have some good catchy songs. They're also one of the very few good alternative bands with a female singer... besides Flyleaf of course.
I love them. End of story. Bring me to life was the siren song what addicted me, in case you were curious.
Remind me why people like this band? What are they again? Emo music? Oh... I don't know. Every song of theirs that I've heard just doesn't sound right. And I'm not naming names because I don't care enough to know them.
Because people have different tastes? Questioning why people like something you don't is bit of a pet peeve of mine. I'm a 100% sure that something you love is something that one of the people who've written in this thread absolutely loathes. PS. No-one seems to agree on what genre Evanescence represents. The most common genres used to describe them seem to be Gothic Rock and Symphonic Heavy.

I wasn't really criticizing the person that made this thread. I'm glad they like Evanescence, everyone likes something different. I know the person was asking who else liked them, but I thought 'Hey, I might as well say I don't, just to say that I don't' because that's allowed too. But anyway, the only song I would probably considering liking is Bring Me To Life. And I've only heard it just now.
I love the singers voice! It is just so very pretty and soothing to listen to. I quite enjoy their music but it's not top of my list, I adore Bring me to life but most of the other songs kind of bore me. I don't mind listening to them though.
This has to be one of my most favourite songs by them...xD I love this song because me and my friends made our own version of a music vid and it turned out AMAZING! I just gotta find it on youtube again...xD
I realize there's a rule against necro bumping (or at least there was), but i thought it'd be best if i didn't post a new thread for this (i made sure i wouldn't be posting the same thread). Anyway, i've just got to say i freakin love Evanescence's music. Particularly "Bring me to life"..it's still to this day one of my most favourite songs of all time!
