Out of all the limits in the game, I thought Sora and Riku's limit which is called Eternal Session was the most interesting. One thing I noticed about this form is how Sora and Riku both fire Dark Aura attacks together which is called Dark Cannon. Even though only Riku has that ability, when the limit is activated, Sora can use it too. How do you think Sora was able to use Dark Aura?

Maybe they were sharing their power. Two characters seem to be linked somewhat when they us a Limit.

Sora and Riku are completely linked in this Limit, as you can see, they dont move freely and you have to folow a patter to finish it correctly,

I just thought that maybe Sora could use the power of darkness somewhere but Riku and Sora connected was a good bet.

It's simple. Riku shares some of his energy with Sora and they perform a high-powered limit. The reason why Riku and Sora can use Dark Aura is because Sora as well as Riku has a dark side, which allows him to gain some of darkness to his own hand. He doesn't usually attack with darkness though.
That's the best way I can explain it.

Actually I think that best fits the situation.

Also, when moving, they move together. That has to confirm that they link when using Eternal Session.

During a limit, characters are connected. Like Knocksmash with Goofy. Sora and Goofy do the exact same thing at the same time. Normally that would only be Goofy's move, but during a limit, anything can happen. The same principles apply with all other joined limits like "Eternal Session".

My theory is that both of them are keyblade weilders, so both of them have the power to "tap" into the keyblade. Notice how in the final battle with Xemnas, Riku was able to grab Sora's keyblade without it dissapearing and throw it back to Sora. Alternatively, Sora used both his keybalde and Riku's to knock Xemnas into a daze (before his final light blast killed him)

Not only that, but Sora needed Riku's power to make the blast strong enough since Riku put his hand on Sora's which was on the keyblade...

Bascially I think that both of them are keyblade weilders, so they can use the power within them.

They were probably just sharing the power through the keyblade...
