Hey all, I'm sure you've heard by now that Orson Scott Card's bestselling sci-fi epic Ender's Game is currently being made into a movie. Heres the trailer that just came out today:
Hmm...it looks pretty interesting, but I'm gonna be honest, the whole aliens-attacking-Earth genre is kinda being wrung a bit too much in media nowdays. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's kinda wearing me out a little.
I'm gonna assume you haven't read the book, cause its not about an alien invasion of earth; its about a human invasion of the alien home world 70 years after an alien invasion of earth.
Looks interesting. I wouldn't really call this my 'cup of tea' but I'd watch it. Not sure how I'd feel about the child protagonists though. I'm used to adults taking the main roles. Of course I do like science fiction, but mecha isn't really my forte. Technology is fine, and I love the graphics, reminds me of Tron, but the spaceships and things are . . . iffy. I'd more than likely say, after watching this, that it was an 'okay' movie and that I had no real feelings towards or about it.
