I originally started making a banner for an RP... but then I ended up with something well... not banner like... But I like how it's turned out so far... I'm aware that it's messy, but this is the first time I've tried to give something a unique faded shape... :/ Hopefully I'm going in the right direction anyway. But yeah, some CnC would be much appreciated anyway XD This is something I want to really improve on. So yeah :P
It looks pretty good. I would say, maybe, fade/blur out a bit more so it doesn't look so cut off. Especially with the jacket. But overall, very nice for a first attempt.
Right, Thanks for the advice Spunk. I'll go back to the first one later and try to incorporate what you said. For now I decided to go back to my original objective which was making a banner. Anyways, this is what I've ended up with banner wise: I know it's bigger than traditional banners, but I want to keep all of the Shroud in it. It also then gave me a good place to put the name etc. The thing I like about this banner is the shroud itself. The image it's attached to is faded heavily... which means the shroud would have shown what was underneath and been faded on the outside part too. It took me a while, but I managed to make it gain a gradual solidness along the shroud itself. Anyway. If you're gonna be kind enough to provice CnC for me now. Would you tell me which one you are commenting on. Ergo, The first image. Or the Banner. Thanks! :D
Like the concept of the first image, but the flat line at the top contrasts too much and ruins the overall look, in my opinion. Banner looks good, if a little big, but you've covered that. I will mention again, however, that using a quote from Shirou himself might have been better, even though Archer and he are technically the same person. Otherwise, it's some good work.
That's the only one I could find that also had the kanji underneath it, which is why I used it. Besides, as I've told you, in game, he also has used that chant. So either way, it is fine. As for the top line in the first image... That is something I need to work on when I revisit it. lol As I said, the first one is unfinished, I was showing what I had done so far. It needs a lot of cleaning up. lol
