I'll be a total hipster here and say that I've been listening to him for a while. Actually bought two of his albums. I've always tried to make my drums sound like his when making my own music, but I've never even come close. I don't really listen to his music any more, probably because I've really over-played it now. It's easy for anyone to get into his music.
Oh I have been too, you don't sound like a hipster at all. =] I have kind of outplayed his stuff too, but it's really good for when I try writing, haha.
how could I have forgotten to make an Emancipator thread? D: I'll also be a hipstah and say that I've been listening to him for a while now as well xD. Personal faves are Nevergreen, Old Devil and Soon It Will Be Cold Enough. I've been meaning to listen to the remixes that came out last month. Are they any good?
Pretty large bump on my part, but Emancipator's apparently dropped a new album today. Listening through it now. The fist song (Minor Cause) is nice, nothing too asdfghjkl; though. Really liking Valhalla a lot *w*. Gonna edit/post again once I get through the rest of the songs.
Valhalla is my favorite of all of them. xD Dusk to Dawn and The Way are very close seconds. Overall though, really liking the album. A few of the songs (Minor Cause) do sound like his older stuff, but most of them sound pretty fresh (all dat percussion and that saxophone omfg <33333). Buying it now. 8)
