Developer/Publisher: Ignition Entertainment Release Date (JPN/USA): TBA 2011 (Aiming for around February-March, or so I heard) Heard about this game some time ago, though I’ll shine some light on here about this. :3 Director of this game is Takeyasu Sawaki, Art Director of Okami, and the producer is Masato Kimura, which worked on Okami, Devil May Cry and even F-Zero. Music is composed by Masato Koda, who composed for Devil May Cry and Monster Hunter. Also some of the Archangels are said to appear later and help Enoch in his quest. Gameplay aims to be very simple, with simple inputs and things like that, enemies don’t even have a life bar, you know how much damage you are doing by looking at how broken their armor is. This looks amazing D: I need this. I have a feeling this is going to end up like Okami, get good ratings but be unheard of.
It looks like a Japanese anime on LSD. I do like the idea that it's Okami but for Christianity, since it kinda looks like that so far. Personally, I haven't seen enough yet to enitce me, the gameplay looks way too simple whilst a clear nattative and story development hasn't really appeared, so this game's not grabbed me yet. I'd heard of this before and never taken much notice, the name put me of, but i'm gonna keep an eye out in case I like it.

The art style for the game is very impressive and something rarely seen nowadays. The gameplay looks rather fun, whether or not it becomes a hack-and-slash it still looks cooler than the current ones out. Oddly, the main character reminds me a bit of Jehuty from Zone of the Enders. Hell, the style of it seems like Zone of the Enders to me. Anyways, what worries me is that the creator behind this says that he's doing it in the style only a Japanese director can come up with. I have no problem with that but I'm afraid it won't come out of Japan. D: Oh, I forgot to mention. The game has porklings. Lots and lots of porklings.

I'm bumping this because this game needs more attention and the release date is nearing as it's already out in Japan. The demo of this game is already out for those willing to give it a chance. The release date for the US is the 26th of this month and for EU it's 9-9-11 so they'll just have to wait a little longer. From what I've heard the overseas version of the game will have the option to use the Japanese voice acting with English subtitles. I've gotta say that it's one of the most beautiful looking games I've ever seen or played. I saw a full playthrough of the Japanese version and it truly is stunning. There's lots of platforming and the game is linear though it doesn't matter much seeing as how it gives one the chance to truly appreciate the whole atmosphere. Enoch(the main character) doesn't really get any development but Lucifel(Lucifer's name at that point in time) is pretty damn awesome. There's a few really good songs in the game from what I've listened to. The combat can turn into a button masher but it's not meant to play as one. You'll get killed a lot if you aren't careful, even in the demo. As for anyone wondering about the game's subtitle "Ascension of Metatron". It's pointless from what I know. Metatron is never mentioned. >> Anyways, I think I'll be buying this game ASAP.
Reminds me a bit of the Prince of Persia and Kingdom Hearts xD I'm not really a fan of this kind of gameplay as it gets kind of repatitive to me. Although i will still download the demo, I don't think i'll enjoy it as much as i should...
