Implemented Editor for Profile Comments

Would it be possible to add the editor to profile comments?

With the recent addition of bulletin board code availability on profile comments, an editor would make it easier to apply bulletin board code.

 

I would definitely be up for this, but for different reasns. It's a bit annoying when you make a mistake in a comment and have to delete it or add another message on top of it.

 

This is an extremely good point. You can edit your initial posts on profiles, but not comments.

I am going to make a suggestion on XenForo about that.

This might actually be a fault of mine, I just re-checked the permissions and changed some things around. If a Premium could let me know if they're now able to edit profile comments they've made, that'd be awesome.

As a side note, no modification exists to make this possible and it would be a complicated one at that--not to mention that Xenforo 1.2 will implement a new editor, so even if we did work it in, it would have to be reworked upon updating.

The bbcodes in profile posts are a modification and are intended for the people who really want to use bbcode in profile posts (where there's really not much reason to, especially when personal conversations are pretty cool--profile posts are meant for quick messages, not lengthy conversations). If you are one of those people, typing them out is an inconvenience that comes with the territory.

 

I am still unable to edit comments. All I see is Delete.

 

Oh I see, okay. The edit function seems to extend only to the original comment, didn't realize that.

We've been able to edit the first post all this time, just not succeeding comments.

 

The add-on we use to allow BBCode in profile posts was just updated today:

So when we update to Xenforo 1.2, this will be apart of it.

 

@Misty: Were there complications with this?
