    My good V-MODA set finally broke after a good year and then some ;.;

    My price range is anything below $50. Preferably some buds with good range and noise cancellation/isolation, whatever it is.

    I honestly suggest checking Amazon, they usually have good browsing stock, it's where I found my pair though bought em elsewhere cheaper. They're not Noise Cancelling though, so can't recommend em.

    Despite my feelings towards Apple their earpods are really good for the price.

    I'd second this. Even if you don't buy through Amazon look at some of the reviews and check some forums. There's tonnes of audio forums out there with reviews and recommendations.

    I was planning on that, but I wanted some brands and models to check out ._.

    Any word on noise isolation or cancellation or whatever?

    I'll look into those.

    I've had Sony for a long time. Probs since I started to use MP3 players 8 years ago.

    Well known brands are always safe bets when it comes to being an average consumer.

    I can't say much for earbuds (don't use them) but DON'T get the Sony MDR-MA100 headphones, especially if you live in a cold weather climate. The left speaker statics really bad and sometimes doesn't play at all. And no, it's not a one-item thing, I've gotten this replaced four times and they all have the same issue.

    If you live in a warm place though, they're a great headphone. Pretty good sound quality, long cord, very comfortable and rather cheap at <$40.

    They're pretty good for that. Their design lends itself towards focused sound and cancelling surrounding noises. I could link you a video talking about their design but I have no idea where I saw that, it was a while ago. They're my friend's, who's a small-time music producer for small-time bands in this area, casual headphone of choice and he's very particular about the quality of what he's listening to. As am I, but take it from the guy who actually knows what he's talking about. I wouldn't have even considered buying them if he hadn't recommended them. I intend to keep using them for the foreseeable future. There's not much else for the price point that is as good from what I know.
