Titanfall looks like it had a great idea, but it's probably gonna be average.

Piloting a giant robot and watching giant robots smash into eachother is primarily a male fantasy
It's the same as the obsession with racing super fast cars with tricked out specs that would serve no practical purpose
Hence why Transformers and Hot Wheels are so popular with guys

I sorta think it also has to do with the whole technological/mechanical thing that guys are often associated with.

And of course the whole "beating things to shit" factor.

Titanfall looks cool, yo. CoD with mechs, and I hate one of those things (guess!). I don't think it was best in show though, especially because everyone seems to be missing the fact it has no single player yet they keep asking Respawn what the single player is about. I just don't know how Infamous, Destiny, and Watch Dogs can be present at a show like that and Titanfall wins yet journalists keep saying "NO MORE CoD!" and give the awards to CoD Futures: Metal Gears of Destruction.

...Do you want a legitimate answer? Because I'm supplying one:

E3 awards don't go off "looks." It's not possible for journalists to judge a game and get a good feel for the direction it's heading in without actually playing it. So games where they only show trailers and don't bring a floor demo aren't up in the running. It generally means that the game isn't even near completed yet and has a chance to make it on a list another year.[DOUBLEPOST=1372857493][/DOUBLEPOST]

Is the headshake saying that the idea of having a fantasy like that associated to a gender is stupid and sexist?

    Do I win?

It's a fantasy that is commonly associated with young boys
    It is usually
    - Advertised towards young boys
    - Created by males
    - Content largely focuses on males
And it is rooted in glorifying....
    - Reckless actions
    - Large amounts of destruction
Which are two things that are VERY common in lifeforms with massive amounts of testosterone pumped in them(Young boys)

    It's a male fantasy
Everyone can enjoy it, male or female
But to say that it's main basis lies in appealing to the subconscious of a young male doesn't exist is pants on head ******ed.

But Titanfall looks really good. The Last of Us won the show last year and that turned out amazing.

It does look good, but Best of Show? Not to me. It looks like it'll be a decent shooter with mechs, and that might impress some people, but I look for more in a game than shoot-em-ups.

"Looks to be a solid 8/10" is my guess of Titanfall. Destiny is going to be the better game, but Titanfall will probably just be the more 'fun' game. And these people can balls off. Best Original Game? You have the parkour of Battlefield, Jetpacks of Halo, Mechs of *insert mech genre game here* and the play style of CoD. I can't even think fo the first original bone in the whole demo.

Second Son looks impressive, but it's animations seem very.... old. You would expect characters to move a bit more naturally and a bit more varied in such a realistic looking game. It really makes me kind of, lose the experience of it and I keep second guessing it.
Best Trailer is KH3 with MGSV just slightly behind
