Spoiler: aww yiss got another bingo baby

Nintendo wasn't bad, but it was WAY too short. The amiibos are just another Skylanders rip-off, and Bayonetta was just out of place considering that Yoshi and Kirby were the bread for that sandwich (also the costumes were funny, but they literally came out of nowhere).

All I really wanted was the Pokemon news and Majora's Mask 3D though. I mean, come on! MM3D is long overdue.
That last Smash announcement may have been great because I am all for badass goddesses beating the crap out of mortals, but another long-range magic character isn't all that great imo.

 

That's it Nintendo won. No contest, was years in the making. They had no guff, almost all of it was gameplay footage, they showed how it all worked and had original looking IPs.
Splatoon looks so so good, so original for once. Fair do they did bang on about Super Smash Bros way too much and they have these Skylanders/Infinity figures, but in comparison to everyone else Nintendo actually turned me around from thinking they'd be bad to thinking they're good. All the others did the total opposite.

Yeah, I agreed with PaW.

Nintendo's showed a lot of gameplay & the conference itself was pretty lighthearted and fun. It's something to be expected of Nintendo, but it was so nice to see after yesterday flying limbs every other display and 420 jokes. That said, I'm not too interested in a lot of what Nintendo announced, never been into Zelda, haven't played Bayonetta/Xenoblade, so I was really only watching for Pokemon and Smash, lol.

While I do realize Sony, MS, and everyone else probably was waiting to hold off for the open showing starting today, it still would've been nice to see gameplay and people actually playing the games! Little Big Planet 3's showing was really endearing to me because you could see and get a feel of the fun. Even AC: Unity (despite how tired I got of it after the second time) looked like a lot of fun through seeing it in action. The Ubi presenter seemed like she wanted to play some of the games so bad at some points, and it would have been fin to see someone who is a passionate fan get to play so we could feel the hype and emotion behind it.

The conferences this year were pretty nice, but I'm hoping that they really kick it up for next year's.

 

In response to that, Star Fox WiiU was announced earlier. A trailer for Professor Layton vs Phoenix Write was also shown.

I like that it has elements from both blended together though the lack of a solid release date still upsets me.

Just checked out some of the Day 1 stuff (not all of it yet heh).

• The Order 1886 stuff was really interesting (obviously), the hype is real for this game
• New LoZ game looks awesome, cool to see Nintendo (maybe) trying out a new protag
• Gen 3 remakes ahhhhhhhhh they look so great

 

So it has been confirmed that Lily Bergamo is no more and the premise and ideas for that game have now been amalgamated into Let It Die.

I'm pretty disappointed tbh. LB looked really unique, now it's turned into a generic online multiplayer with customisable player avatars. :/
