E3 2012

Might as well start a thread about this. When the time comes please post your thoughts and comments in here. I will try to provide streaming links for the conferences.
What is everyone one hoping for? Who do you think will stand out the most at E3?

I agree with most Libre here, It's going to be Nintendo that will be most interesting this year if neither Sony or Microsoft are going to throw a curve ball and announce new hardware. Which is incredibly unlikely, and I'm fine with that really, but that would likely top the other two.

Anyways, I think Ubi will likely focus on the Assassin's Creed franchise this time with AC3 and an unannounced AC game for the Vita, but that's my speculation really. I also think they'll focus on their social gaming like Just Dance series and maybe a fitness game.
Oh and I hope something to do with Beyond Good and Evil 2, something on that scale would definitely make me interested in this conference more than most.

EA will likely talk about some games of Bioware’s, such as the new Command and Conquer game they are making and maybe even a reveal on Dragon Age 3 which would work out well, and might push away all that Mass Effect 3 ending hate they get. I really hope that an announcement for Mirror's Edge 2 comes to fruition, much to its unlikeliness as well as talk about Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3.

I'm more interested in the curve balls that could come across, the possibilities more then anything else. I look forward to it.

Like Libre said, it could be that it's a little nod towards the possibility of a WiiU release of Beyond Good and Evil 2, and a surprise showing of it at Ubi's conference, which would be really exciting. After a screenshot of a tech demo of BGE2 and then the subsequent releasing of said tech demo I thought that more news on the game was going to be revealed in general, and E3 would be a perfect venue for it. But it's more hope then likelihood, I know.

And a PoP 2008 sequel would be very welcome, I liked the game, even if it wasn't like the original series, I liked the revival and change of things really, it added something new and different. If they don't announce one this year, I don't know when they will.

 

can't wait to see what Nintendo has up their sleeve. They're on a winning streak and it doesn't look like anything can slow them down.

Most people don't want to play it, but I am most certainly not one of those people.

 

I expect to E3 to be like it's been the last couple of years, very boring and dissapointing. However, I do hope for some things. For example, I hope we finally get some information on Agent. I know that Rockstar won't be there, but since it's supposedly Sony exlusive, they would probably show it off at their show anyway. Hopefully some news on Last Guardian too, maybe we can find out if it really will come out. It will be interesting to see what Sony will bring though, considering how badly that company is doing right now.

My one prediction:

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be announced.

 

No, E3 2010 I thought was one of the better ones that last years since it was soooo highly based off motion control. 2010 was the start of the new motion capabilities, but Sony had a strong year with their marketing via Kevin Butler which have helped their sales.

Nintendo always seems to be the better conference, Microsoft and Sony are tied but they get boring and I really do not need to watch another 10 minute raft gameplay of Call of Duty.

 

hahaha ikr, i'm expecting they'll bring up CoD as usual with the new updates of Black Ops II, yet somehow even though they are claiming it'll be sooooo different or the graphics are so much better i couldn't even muster enough energy to finish the campaign of MW3 and i usually do play the campaigns for the heck of it. idk we'll see i guess.

i'm hoping nintendo announces a release date for animal crossing 3DS, i want it so bad it looks adorable ; - ; and of course Ubi with assassins creed 3, i need to see Connor's face more clearly and hear more of his voice. swooning over AC3 so hard rn. i hope they show some of the new features, they are pretty good about that though, they are one of my favorites right now because of the fan service they give. pretty active fb page, things like that.

 

I'll give CoD props in at least one thing: Setting.
They really build the atmosphere up in terms of the Single Player settings. Really loved the Paris setting so much in MW3, the whole madness and beautiful set piece was lovely.

No FFVII remake. I just don't think they have any reason for it. It's more the fact that there have been better times to announce or introduce.

I doubt it but it'd be nice if there was at least a little more information about the two new Super Smash Bros games they're working on. If I just saw that I'd be set for a year.​
