E3 2011

Seems like it. Nintendo said that they were going to take back the hardcore audience with this console. From what they have shown so far, it doesn't look like it's working.

 

Dude, we haven't even seen any games for it. Only tech demos.

 

They already lost most of the the hardcore audience with that silly controller.

 

Precisely. Showing their latest gadget running casual demos rather than actual hardcore games was very ... Nintendesque.

Honestly the only thing that shocked me this E3 was the NGP's, or well, Vita's, price. $249 was something no one was expecting, especially after all the so called experts saying that it was going to reach to $399 or more like "FIVE HUNDRED NINETY NINE DOLLARS!"
I might actually get it now. It looks awesome.

But overall this was a solid, yet disappointing, E3.

The WiiU controller seems bulky, and if you play a lot, you don't need to look at it to see which buttons you're pressing. The screen could be nice for some people, but overall it looks like an overlydesigned piece of sh|t.

Both Vita's price tag (I would rather that for KH 3D than the 3DS) and the number of sequels shocked me. I was pleasantly surprised but overall, I was pretty disappointed.

 

Yeah, I was pretty surprised at the Vita's price, everyone was. Did you hear that room when they announced it? Man, but running both the 3DS and the Vita for the same price gives both of them competition, so who'll win.

But yeah, E3 this year was something of a...of a disappointment. Hopefully someone'll breakout something with badassery to it's name on the last day...

 

Well, we have to let the people decide... (-cough-Vita hands down-cough-)

It depends on the launch titles, and the quality of said titles. The Vita could easily turn into the PSP go.

 

Guys, I am barely conscious and the last 24 hours are a complete blur to me. I just want to know...was a release date for The Old Republic announced?

 

No, which was extremely disappointing. :/
They did say sometime before the end of this year though, so probably we'll get more information over the next few months.
Also showed some gameplay and stuff in an interview, it really does look fantastic and those that have played it are all praising it.

 

So basically they didn't actually give us anything 100% new since I see a new gameplay video and what not on the site every friday x__x
And did they mention the Darth Revan book at all?

I don't believe they did, the trailer shown in the theater was just a rehash of trailers we've already seen with no actual discussion on it, and then the interview was geared more towards people's reactions.

 

Hmm...sounds like wacksauce.

 

I don't think it was all rehash. Maybe I've not seen the scenes before where a irodonian Jedi and Satele Shan, most likely her and her pupil by the looks of it and she's in the air with a single bladed Lightsaber and a double bladed Lightsaber in each hand. I thought that was new but I could be wrong.

At least it's this year, I heard it was going to slip to next year. I'd say late October for my prediciton.
