Thanks for the assistance, very helpful and needed. I now have a new respect for Mike and the other KHV journalists, not easy to get all the information about games out to your public.

Sony's conferrence was alright, good core games, some surprise announcements, and some emphasise on the Move, looks like I'll need that and a Kinect, and a PSV, and a Wii2. I'm gonna be bankrupt!
Overall i'd give the Sony Conferrence: B+

Sony gets a B+ from me for some good quality sequels and more info on the NGP.

 

I felt like Son'ys conference was a let-down for me. Half was spent talkign about 3D which I probably won't be able to see, and the other half was about the PSV. There was very little in the way of stuff for the PS3 thatw asn't 3D. No Square Enix, nothing like that. Maybe i was overthinking what it was gonna be, but a real disappointment for me. No Kevin Butler either :(.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

 

I feel like sending a complaint to DirectTV. They took G4TV off of DirectTV. The channel is just another game lounge now. Anyone know where I can go to watch the stuff that's already shown?

Now, I'm not really a hardcore gamer, nor do I have a PS3 or PSP, so a lot of this didn't really appeal to me. The only things that caught my attention were Sly 4, LBP, and PSV.

Sly 4- FINALLY! I have been waiting for this FOREVER! ... And yet, I still don't have a PS3... =(
LBP- As if LBP wasn't awesome enough already.
PSV- I actually think that PSV looks good. The touch screen in the back really interests me. But, something that bugged me throughout the WHOLE show was them saying that Dual Cameras was something never before seen on a handheld. Sony obviously hasn't seen Nintendo.

Overall, I give Sony a B.

 

Knowing Nintendo they'll announce some Zelda stuff, some Mario stuff, and focus on the 3DS and/or their new HD console...

 

Well that's what Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo always do. They always announce the features coming to the system, like Kinect, or 3D. There will be plenty of individual game attention throughout the show,.

 

Sony had the best conference so far. Which isn't saying much since Microsoft's conference was pretty bad. They showed every game I was remotely interested in. And the PSV looks much better than the PSP.

Unless Nintendo's Project Cafe has groundbreaking hardware and new games to go along with it, I don't see them stealing the show.

 

I agree. The PSV has groundbreaking new specs that make is a cross between an iPad and a PS3
the graphics look sick, the two analog sticks sound bad ass and the fact that it has a front and back touch screen sound really cool.

I love the DS and I am sure I will love the 3DS but its nothing like a console with its graphics level...unlike the PSV which may even have more games being able to do that cool Transfaring thing.

I wish we could have seen some FFXIII2 or FFvXIII but there's always the TGS.

If project cafe isnt a huge mind fuck tomorrow I think Sony won.

 

Some awesome things went down tonight, Sony has taken the biggest piece of the cake so far, Microsoft totally kinda sucked it, Ubisoft got a better, sweeter piece and like everyone is saying, if Nintendo doesn't break out some badassery at their conference this year, well... They don't even get a cupcake.

Another thing I really enjoyed about Sony was that cool thing where if you are playing with someone on the same TV it isnt split screen anymore

I liked the PSVita they announced, the fact that you can go from the game on there to a TV is pretty awesome and clever. Let's just hope that the touchscreen and the one on the back are not pains in the butts...

Nintendo's press conference is tomorrow, hopefully we'll see something of The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, and something more on the Kid Icarus game they announced last year for the 3DS. (:

 

The one problem I have with the PlaystationVita is the use of the touch screen controls. Mainly in the Uncharted PSV game, where you're able to use the touchscreen or the traditional buttons to control the game, I thought to myself that instead of having the awkwardness of trying to use the touch screen controls which I may not be able to reach easily with my thumbs I'll instead use the traditional controls and not bother with the touchscreen.
The problem I see is that it's a bit of a gimmick in the age of touchscreen technology, where Sony are trying to trump the Mobile market of the iTouch and so on, and won't really be that necessary to playing games.
However the ModNation Racers game used it well with creation of tracks and terrain features using the touchscreen, I only hope other games will implement it as a smart necessity instead of a gimmicky second hand control.

I believe that's only for the Playstation TV they are releasing, and not general 3D TVs. But i'm not sure, yet it is a great feature to have that would do well in the gaming market.

 

I would almost buy that TV just for that...and the bundle deal seamed pretty reasonable to me. glasses and nice tv a game and a HDMI cord for about $500. That's really not that bad considering its a 3Dtv and new.

I may have to invest in that ;D

 

That WOULD be a great deal, but how long could you play with the glasses before your eyes start to become irritated.

It's easy with just an HDTV to play for hours upon hours on end, but with a 3DTV... I dunno...
