E3 2010

Fuck that game. We got Kirby, Donkey Kong Country, and Kid Icarus. God I'm jizzing nostalgia all over the place this is so amazing.

MY BODY WASN'T READY FOR THIS REGGIE!

 

Watching some of the Nintendo trailers and here are my thoughts:

Skyward Sword
- I was massively disappointed. Though it doesn't use the super-deformed character designs of Windwaker (at least not for Link), it goes back to that god-awful cartoony, cel-shaded design. Ick, Nintendo. Just...ick.

Goldeneye 007
- I was so excited when I first started watching this trailer. Now...I'm just horrified. I know I'm harping on graphics again, but they were AWFUL in that trailer. Seriously, even the Wii is capable of better than that. I really, REALLY hope that this is just an alpha build, because it looked like a very early PS2 game. I also have to scratch my head at their choice to use the Daniel Craig Bond. Don't get me wrong, I love Daniel Craig, but Goldeneye was Pierce Brosnan. Nintendo, PLEASE don't screw this up. If this game is good, it could honestly convince me to purchase a Wii.

Epic Mickey
- I'm digging what I'm seeing so far, though I don't like the cutscene design. Looks like it was coded in Flash.

Metroid: Other M
- I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing.

Kid Icarus: Uprising
- Looks quite good. Though I'm a little irritated that they seem to have just imported some of the character models from Brawl.

Donkey Kong Country Returns
- I think this was the best trailer out of the lot. It looks excellent.

 

It'll probably be covered more on the floorplan then in the conference, we'll get new news in the next couple days, i'm sure.

Right in so many ways. Nintendo dominated this year, I don't think Sony will be able to top it, but if they do i'm gonna shout '**** yeah!' to everyone person down the street.

 

What the hell mods stop deleting my posts. I announced that the Sony conference is starting. That was hardly a off-topic spam post that you had to delete, compared to some other posts in here.


Alright, Sony's conference is starting in a few minutes.
Besides games like Infamous 2, The Last Guardian, and LittleBigPlanet 2, I'm expecting some other games.
Maybe FFvsXIII? Who knows. I'm hoping for a few surprises.
But honestly, I'm not holding out for much.

I'm reeeeeally hoping for an announcement of a release date for Okamiden. It's about ****ing time Okami got a sequel, and from what I've seen it looks pretty promising.
Also hoping that they do a simultaneous America-Japan release, otherwise it might be a while until it hits the US. >>

 

Sony talking about their Sony move...and at first i was all "its like a Wii mot..bah"

but now they are showing this "Sorcery" demo thing...

basically...its like a BA version of harry potter and u get to use a wand (with that motion controll thing)

basically...i want them to make a HP: deathly hallows game witht this move thing...

i would cream.

and this new game looks amazing.

 

Quick question: Is Nomura going to be on the stage at the ongoing Sony E3?

 

Nomura wasn't on for Sony, i've only seen american companies dominating the scene for the PS market.

So, FF14 was a teaser but looked interesting. Assassin's creed Brotherhood looked awesome, once again. I'm slightly annoyed by all these exclusive stuff to the PS3, it makes choices harder and games generally more expensive.

I don't know what I think of PS Move exactly, it seems good by the gameplay of the dame Sorcery, but i'm not sure just hhow good it will be. Same thoughts with Natal, oh sorry, I mean 'Kinect'.

So many good things, it makes me feel so damned poor...

 

Anyone want to tell me what's going on with final fantasy versus xiii? LOL
Ugh I wanted to see if there was going to be something new. LOL assassins creed brotherhood online looks funny.

 

I literally died when I saw Gabe on stage, announcing Portal 2 and showing the trailer. Portal 1 was amazing. That was a huge surprise.
And Kevin Butler? Sure, there was no purpose to him showing up like that. But that was just epic. I laughed so hard.

PS Move actually interested me. I was very skeptical at first, but that Sorcery game was very good.

What else what else...OH YEAH. TWISTED ****ING METAL.
I did NOT expect that. MIND BLOW. With gameplay footage?! The game looks amazing.

All in all, Sony gets a B+ from me, with Nintendo on top with extra points for actually getting to the point, and well MS last.
A pretty good E3 I'll say, with quite a few surprises.

I'd like to watch that Kevin Butler sketch again. That was legendary.



Oh, I forgot to mention that GT5 finally got a release date. November 2 2010.
About damn time Sony.

I know! I really want to play GT5, funny people at best buy told me not to buy the prologue and told me to wait till the full one came out XD

 

This E3 was a huge dissappointment for Kingdom Hearts. Everything we got was LEAKED except that 3DS thingy.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, I think I just died, already watched the trailer like 10 times.

 

It isn't a PS3 exclusive, it's also coming to PC and 360.

Buuuuuut, the shocker was Gabe Newell coming over to the Sony conference and saying that it's coming to PS3. Sure, there was the Orange Box, but that sucked really. (and it came out what, a year after the Xbox version? Correct me on this one)
And let's not forget Steam support, and the exclusive trailer.

It's just seeing him walk out on stage was so completely out of left field. Gabe always had hate for the PS3.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Final Fantasy versus XIII, and the new KH (I think it's Re:Coded). Plus some extra info on BbS isn't too bad either. Anyway E3 always leaves me waiting for the breakout titles to be released. I can't wait.

 

Nintendo had the best conference hands down.

So far I've checked out Fable 3, TERA, Golden Sun, BBS, small plays with the new God of war, Valkyria Chronicles 2 and littlebigplanet 2.

I plan to see Kinect and Move tomorrow. I'm not going to bother with the 3DS, I played around with it at the Nintendo conference, also the queues for that and Zelda are HUGE.

FFXIV, Bethesda, Mafia 2 and Spec Ops appointments tomorrow as well. =D
