So KH-vids. What do you want to be when you grow up? What are you going to do after high school?

I want to be, well I don't know if there is a name for it but it's someone who creates stories that get turned into video games. My cousin actually knows how to help me in this and is helping me do research for it. After high school I plan to get the needed classes out of the way so I can go to Full Sail down in Florida where I can get a degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment. Basically it's righting scripts from movies, shows, and video games.

My dream is to do the computer animation for video games or movies. I wanted to go to Full Sail but it was too expensive.

    Maybe we should team up?

I'm planning on being a 3D animator for video games, hopefully Square Enix. That's my dream job

I would love to be a Psychiatrist. This will be a lengthy process of education though, but I'm prepared for it, I've always been fascinated with the mind as well as helping people, so combining the two is really a dream job. I've always been fascinated by people and their differences so learning about the way people think will be a great career for me.

I'm already a year out of high-school xD

My absolute dream is to become a working actor. I've done basic speech and drama courses since I was 14, and joined a local youth community theater a few years later. Next week I'm starting an improv course at Second City, so hopefully that'll lead to something. At the moment I'd love to do theater and musicals for a living, and maybe eventually branch out into television. Movies I'm not that sure about yet, but I'm not gonna say no if someone would offer me a good part.
I'm kinda interested in directing and writing, but I don't consider them as options quite yet.

I know it's a long shot dream, but hey, dream big and you're bound to achieve something good ^.^

I would love to be a voice actor (actress?), and I practice it an awful lot. Hopefully, this year I'll be able to take a few classes and get a demo out. I'd also love to write, but I need to sit down and actually finish a story idea first...

If all those fall through, I'm majoring in English and minoring in French so that I can teach English in France. :3

Acting. I'm hoping to go into real acting, other than just plays and such.
Not sure whether I can make it, if not, possibly go into teaching.

*thinks of me as a teacher*
Oh. I do believe I'll go for acting.

My dream's pretty far-fetched. I really want to be a famous actor someday, but that's a really long time from now.

Although, I don't know much about it, I'm also interested in psychology. I'm taking a class in high school on it next year, so we'll see then.

This question has always been difficult for me to answer, even when I was younger. It changes a lot and I've been looking at a lot of fields (which is disastrous for someone in his 4th semester in college, hence why I'm a drop-out).

    - Music Teacher: I love playing instruments, always have, and I know how to read music. Plus, I'd love to take part in the process involved in acquiring the skills to teach music. Most of all, my life was a sack of depression before I started dedicating myself to playing a piano for the first time. I had found myself on that day and I'd like to give children who are as lost as I was that kind of opportunity. Unfortunately I can't get into the program at this point, so that window of opportunity has been blown shut.

    - History Teacher: History has always been one of my favorite subjects (especially Renaissance history, Christ, I can go on for hours) but the reason I want to get into this field is that none of the teachers I've encountered so far are capable of teaching the course efficiently, and people are seeing the course as a boring subject. I probably have a dreadful sense of humor (though I do like to tell myself otherwise), but I'd like to think I can take the material and break it down into something fun, interesting and comprehensible for students who want to learn more about the world (or who just need the Analysis Course Credits).

    - Psychologist: I've spent more time than I'd like to researching Psychological Disorders, so I have a good idea on the basic knowledge, and reading Shutter Island has sparked an interest in the field for me (I would never want to be a Psychiatrist out of pure resentment for pills, stimulants, and other such pharmaceuticals). It's something to look into.

    - Voice Actor: I love animated films and anime, and I love reading, not to mention I love acting out as I read. The best part? I'd be awesome at it, because many people have told me I have a great voice for dubbing material. Not much job security in that field, so it's really nothing more than a pipe dream.

    - Comedian: Yeah, like I said before, I'm the loser who thinks he's funny. I've done stand-up before, but I figure dedicating myself to it might help me get better at it. Again, pipe dream.

    - Comic Book writer: I can't draw for **** (though I can make a pretty neat katana on a table top), but I get so many ideas for a good comic strip every day and it kills me hat I can't put these ideas on paper. I've been trying to get started on a web-comic series, but no one I know wants to draw them out for me (not that I know many people anyway :< ). It's obviously something I'd do on the side but I know I'd love it. My sense of humor (you know, the dreadful one) always came from cartoons that I watched, and that's the main reason I think so.

    - Bartender: I love going out to bars, and it's an awesome way to meet people. I always loved the atmosphere and mixing cocktails is kind of fun, too, so I figure why not.

hmm, some of thsoe are pretty good jobs. The Voice Actor and Music Teacher would probably be really good for you, but Music is not cheap. It's one of the most expensive degrees.

I would say an actor, and if that doesn't work, an artist plus being a teacher.

And for my fictional job I would love to be one of those dudes that do Inception. You know, going around stealing secrets and stuff.

I am going to college for a degree in music. So I'll be studying music theory, music prodution and composition, and film scoring. And I might throw in some songwriting classes for fun.
My dream is to become a composer. I would, ideally, like to compose music for video games. I would also be interested in producing music for artists. So long as I get creative freedom over the music I compose, I don't really care what area it's in--as of now. I just want to be around music. And not be a teacher. I can't deal with students. I'd flip tables.

I want to go to university (hence me going to lots of uni open days over the next few weeks) to do hopefully Physics.

After that I'd like to get a job on the cutting edge of science researching things, and possibly after that go into teaching at college/university level.

Well, i'm still in High School and I haven't planned my future. Sometimes, I feel like I don't even want to head off to college because I'm so unsure of what to do. But I do have a few ideas for my jobs, of course:

    1. Comic/Manga Artist - I would love to grow up to make my own comic. I'm already currently working on one, but it's going really slow. But I'd rather be safe than sorry and plan everything out! Haha!

    2. Singer (in a band) - This has always been my ultimate dream ever since I was a kid. And I still would love to do this forever and ever. Haha. It just seems like so much fun to be on tour and stuff like that!

    3. Photographer/Model - These are probably a no, I'm not too good with photos and I'm WAY too short. But I do have those sudden urges when I see spectacular photos and such.

    4. Acting/Voice Acting - I'm very unsure with this, but theater has always been close to my heart. And I'm part of the English Drama Club this year, so maybe I get to understand more of what I want this year.

I've always had a very clear path towards what I want to do, since I was probably five I knew I wanted to teach, and then when I was thirteen I decided I would be an English teacher. But then lately I've been getting involved & interested in computers (particularly networking, but I'd love to expand out of that), and I've found that there are great and high-paying career opportunities for women in that field. And looking at how many out of work teachers there are now... well.

It's kind of tough to go from knowing exactly what you want to do all your life to, in 11th grade, suddenly being stuck.

Game Developer for either Ubisoft or Square Enix. lol I'm not the greatest at computer programming but I can do other stuff as well, dealing with the gaming industry. Honestly I just want to be on one of those companies and then I would be able to go to E3 LOL

My back up plan is to be on the radio. lol

There are three main fields that I am interested in. Journalism of a slightly dangerous sort, as recommended by Kintaro, psychology/criminal psychology for personal interest, and translation. I could go into anything if it would keep me alive without scraping for every last thing.

I'm already working my dream job. I've always wanted to be a teacher, and now I teach a fourth grade class.

I still want to do something with art. I toyed with the idea of being a cartoonist in high school, or a manga artist. Since I double majored in college, I thought about playing around with writing/illustrating children's books in two languages. So you could read the story in English on one side, then flip the book over and read it again in Spanish on the other side.
