Dream Drop Distance Ultimania: Expect New Announcement Soon!

Hello KH-Vids. The Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Ultimania is now available in Japan. As usual, this is a special book that features artwork, strategies and extra content such as an interview with Tetsuya Nomura and a look at the future of the series.

Generally from the interview, Nomura explains that there is an upcoming project(s) that will be revealed shortly from the Kingdom Hearts Series. We would like to think that it is possibly Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura explained that there is no plans of a Final Mix version for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, nor a Birth by Sleep (volume 2) title.

Additional Information:
- There are still plans of using Pixar world(s) in the future.
- There are familiar character among those hidden by the black coat on the seats at "Where Nothing Gathers".
- The new Kingdom Hearts title is under production and may be announced shortly.

There's an interview with Tetsuya Nomura in the KH3D Ultimania that went on sale today! From the interview:

They don't have any plans for BBSV2 right now, trust your imagination with the Secret Message, there's no plans for an FM for this title, the mystery KH project is stopped because they did KH3D, please look forward to whether the 7 lights are those 7 people, lots of things have already started happening for a new title in the KH series, and he thinks they will be able to make some kind of announcement in a relatively short time.There you go! In the interview there's also 'impressions upon seeing the 3DS, the way we brought in free flow action, the title 3D, choosing which worlds to use, about the new black-coated people in Organisation XIII' etc. I also really really recommend 'Ask Mr Tetsu everything! Scenario Mysteries' for Nomura's detailed commentary! KH3D's Ultimania is pretty big, very much worth reading, go and buy it for sure!

Except it isn't like that at all since Halo was a first party game. As a third party company SE is allowed to develop for whoever they want. They should make the next KH game multiplat, in my opinion, to reach out to all of the fans they've made.

Not quite, before this Final Fantasy all the games were Playstation, A Final Fantasy fan would most likely buy a Playstation not a Xbox.
They COULD have done the KH for Xbox and Playstation, they decided to made it only for Playstation, it's a bold move.. You'll sell less, but you will gain the console's atantion, what would be of Ps3 whithout GOD OF WAR/Uncharted/INfamous ? They are de jewel in the crow of Playstation 3, essenciatly because they're UNIQUE to Ps3... and of course when some one thinks "I should buy this console or that" he will consider "Oh I should buy this one because it has the best titles for me".
For the time Ps2 was still on the go they maintained ther Loyalship to sony, even the one game that was a "spin-off" that didn't have gone do Ps2 (chain of memories) end up being remade for Playstation 2, what gave a certain security for Playstation owners that KH title would stick with Playstation no matter what...
And then out of nowere they decided to "Oh let's make some games for nintendo" and they didn't come back to sony's consoles for years until Bbs...
You must see that the lunch of Kingdom Hearts 2 was VERY close to Ps3... so everyone out there who was a REAL fan, must have assumed "Oh Kh3 will be in ps3 sonner or latter" , so they bought Ps3 thinking of playing KH and have been screwed since that.
The person who bought Nintendo DS probably bought thinking of "OH I will be able to play ALL POKEMON GAMES YAY!"
Even though some spin-offs of Pokemon got outside the handele's console of nintendo .. all "main story" was kept in Gb/gbc/gba/nintendo ds ... so Pokemon fans buy whatever Nintendo portable that comes out to play Pokemon.
Pokemon should go to other consoles? Mario? You can't see the problem with that? Why would a person buy a nintendo console if not by it's legendary titles? Not for the hardwere for sure...
All the consoles NEED to have exclusive content, whithout it the console does not have its identidy

I'm calling it now. The next game will be a "spin off" with Riku as the playable character and will tell the story of his and Mickey's absence.

As for Pixar worlds, the only ones that could really work are Toy Story (needs to happen more than anything and Zurg should be the world boss), Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, and maybe Wall-E and A Bug's Life (fighting Hopper would be awesome). All of the others, especially Cars, would fail epically.

I agree with you VERY much on that. I've been waiting for them to make that game. It's over due.

Oh my god. I seriously hope that the upcoming games will be multi-platform ;__;
I don't want to buy a PS3 just for ONE game. :c
