Dream Drop Distance: Nintendo Power, KH3D event and Memoir option!

    Hey guys, we have some new info for you!

    First off, it seems that the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter in Japan has posted news that there will be a KH3D event in March 3. I suppose more details will come later on, but for now we can assume that it'll be to give some important info. We'll keep you updated on that front.

    Secondly, it seems that Nintendo Power, a magazine dedicated to Nintendo, will feature Kingdom Hearts 3D, with a seven page coverage that includes an interview with Nomura.

    And last, but not least, we've learned that KH3D will offer a much needed memoir feature that will not only serve as a a method to view history from the game itself, but will also show important details on the past games. Pretty good for newcomers to the series.

      Rather intriguing to say the least. However, I do fail to see why fans cannot simply grasp the historical timeline of Kingdom Hearts... but that's probably just me.

      Well it is the 10th anniversary it's kinda nice to have a game acknowledge the past stories. And it serves as a recap for recent fans or people who end up buying 3D as their first KH game.

      Anyway I wonder what more they can reveal about KH3D in that March 3rd event? Unless it's a public thing where people can play the game I believe anything else story related would be going into spoiler territory.

      The event is in Japan, though ; ~ ;


      Lots of things can happen in ten years. I think 3D (and Coded/Days) were really trying to bring in more people into the series.

      Certainly a useful system. As stated by others, the ability to briefly recap the events of past games isn't quite the same as experiencing 50 hours of gameplay yourself, but it is certainly an appreciated refresher for this KH veteran and I am sure will be appreciated by newcomers to the series. It may even instill the desire to give past titles a try. Good move, Square. Looking forward to this event. Thanks for the update. ​
