Fandub Dream Drop Distance: [KHV] Promotional Video - Update & Voices Needed!

Hello KH-Vids. Again if you haven't already heard; KH-Vids is working on the next fandub production for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. I will be searching for the next talent in one of the most rewarding community projects offered in the Kingdom Hearts community. In this production, I will be looking for fans to audition from KH-Vids and VAA (Voice Acting Alliance). We are also looking for other fans to join the production from other Kingdom Hearts fanbased website. For an example, I've already received an audition from a KHInsider member. Great to hear! If you know somebody who wants to voice, let them know about this exciting community project where the fans will dub the Japanese trailer that was released early this week in English.

Please note that we are looking for the best auditions. I take this production very serious and look for some of the best impersonators. We can't sound 100% accurate, but I do request that you give it your best effort. Don't be in doubt even if you think you don't sound like a character. VERY IMPORTANT
We may already have a cast for Maleficent, Sora, Riku and Axel. That doesn't stop your chances for voicing these characters though. We're still looking! In the mean time, Neku has been closed for auditions. I will be taking the role as Neku for this production so I can be involved with other members. For some odd reason - Neku sounds a little like Roxas/Ven.

Hey Mike, I'm going to audition but there's not enough lines for me as there's two of them. Should I send variety range of my voice to make it easier for you?

 

I already sent in my audition as Axel (well technically Lea) but I might try again in a few days as Terranort or Vanitas

 

I sent for some that had only one line do I ab-libed or did a line from another game they were in.

 

You can make up quotes of do other ones from the game, Dawn.

Edit: Working on the the trailer's music and sfx. It sounds nice so far. Restoration at 50% (laughs).

 

Humhumhum... I think I will try Joshua, I wanted Sora or Neku, but I don't think I can be better than Mike or a Pre-accepted member for Sora. Axel is one of my favorites characters, but he is also already pre-take. Conclusion is...

Well, I might like to audition for Sora, as I can do a decent impression of him. I'll likely send those auditions sometime this week... hopefully anyway.

I am sorry about that. I feel kind of bad, but I do want to be a part of the production with everyone...and so far with what has been done I think fans will be amazed.

 

Dont feel bad. Neku is my favorite and reacted like anyone would when they find out about something like that Lol. I'll be sending my audition for Josh in a few days and will add a few more lines if thats ok.

 

Guess I'm the only one who didn't freak out when Neku was taken.

Sent in an audition for Joshua, Lea, Vanitas, and Sora! I also sent in one for Neku, don't worry about that one but if it isn't a problem I would like to know what you think.

 

Question: Is it ok to speed up or slow down our voice when we send in the auditions? Or have our normal voice and the sped up/down version included? Or is that considered "cheating"?

Would be cool to be part of the KHV fan dub :)
