Ardina let go of Steve's ear and thanked him. "Now, Blaine, swallow your pride before I scalp you!!I'm tired of you two fighting and I am going to teach you a lesson you won't soon forget," she said. She had gone from shouting to barely above a whisper, her voice eerily calm and cold.

 

"I'm sorry" blaine muttered.

Nick simply stayed where he was, shivering with fear.

 

At once the tone was gone and she let go. "Thank you," she said. She walked back to Nick and bowed. "I'm sorry you had to see that."

 

"I'm more sorry" matt said, but then, quickly tried to change the subject and said "So why were you guys fighting anyways?"

"Oh, well before we were talking about what to do with you, and we decided that since you are totally lost, and amnesia or whatever, you can come with us if you want." steve said.

"Ummmmm, ya, I think I'll do that. Definatly not gonna stick around here anyways" nick said.

"And as for the fight, I simply made a comment about his fat mother" blaine said, taunting.

"I'm going to ignore that" steve muttered.

 

"Good job Steve," she said. Putting the flute back in her pocket she looked up at the sky. Sniffing the air she looked back at the group. "It smells like rain," she said.

 

"I guess we should go find shelter then" Blade said calmly

 

Nick smiled a little when he heard that. "That sounds nice" he said.

"Well we shouldn't be standing around in the middle of no where. We have to get going fast. We already took care of any problems that might have been here" Blaine said

Ardina pushed back against the windmill, standing up. "I'll go scout for a place," she said.

 

"Try finding a town or something like that" steve said.

"We will need to collect supplies after all, before we make the trip" blaine said

"Trip? What trip?" nick asked.

"Well, its not like we have anything else to do here on this island" blaine said.

"We're on an island?" nick asked, surprised.

"Well where did you think we were, candy land?" blaine asked

 

Ardina snickered coldly and then in the blink of an eye, she was gone. She ran as she always did, faster than any human and noiselessly. She disappeared into the tree line, her eyes scanning the area for any signs of life.

 

"Hey ponytail, is she always like that?" nick asked.

"Ya, fraid so. Don't know much about her, and I don't plan on asking any questions. All I can say is stay out of her way, or risk being hurt" blaine said.

"Ya, I think I already get that part" nick said, sighing

 

Blade just stood there with his hand in his pocket and eyes closed awaing orders

 

Ardina scanned the forest and thought she spotted something. She veered off i that direction but was rewarded by a burst of flames that she only nearly avoided. She jumped right, rolling, but it still singed her arm.She got up, clutching it. A singe shouldn't hurt this much....somethings not right. She swivled around and darted back the way she came. As she run she was surprised to find it start bleeding. "Burns don't bleed," she murmured to herself. Just as she reached the group she was overcome by a strange sensation. "Something...in..the...forest," she growled softly and then her eyes closed. She pitched forward.

 

Blaine quickly ran forward, catching her before she hit the ground. "Well then, steve, blade, you guys are just going to have to lead then. I have to carry her anyways, and this kid over here can't fight for hell" blaine said. "Oh, and by the way kid, what's your name?" blaine asked.

"Name's nick. You guys?"

"Name's blaine, and this over here is steve. I think that you can already assume who blade is, and I'm carrying the teams thorned rose herself, Ardina." blaine responded.

"Great..." steve said as he moved upward miserably, hate having to be some sort of a human shield for everyone else since he was the only one that actually used a dragoon around here besides blade

Ardina was conscious of lying on a cold hard surface, her face pressed against it. She opened her eyes and sat up slowly. She had to grip the floor, willing it to stop spinning. Once the floor was still she raised her eyes, studying the platform. It was made of black glass with a touch of midnight blue in the center of it. The platform was pretty wide and she crawled over to its edges. Nothing. Leaning back into the platform, she stood up. Immediately she realized that she was not in her normal clothes but in a wolfskin, her feet bare. She shivered a bit and looked around. With nothing else to do, she walked to the center of the platform. Kneeling down, she brushed the blue spot with her finger and to her amazement, it began to grow, spreading like water to the ends of the platform. Slowly she began to sink, as if she were wading in the water, deeper ad deeper. What is this place??

 

Blade looked at Steve and sighed "stop compllaining" Blade said and walked forward

 

"No one stays on my side" he muttered.

Nick followed as they moved towards where Ardina was hurt. He then moved up towards Steve. "Dang. You really got it rough around here man" nick said.

"Ya, you could say that. Blaine over there is our leader, who is a pain in the butt, Ardina is the ice queen around here, and blade.......well, blade is blade. No way to really describe the guy" Steve said, as his eyes then widend. "Oh hey, ya know, I just remembered. From the place that we were just coming from, I got this pretty nice sword made of pure dragonite." steve said.

"Dragonite?" nick asked, confused.

"Ya, dragonite. Its a special kind of metal that is related to the hive some how. Sort of like an after waste that is made whenever a dragon is made, and then it gets left behind. It usually disolves, but some people are able to get some and make a heck load of money off of it. The stuff is also tough as hell. Tell me, you ever use a sword?" nick asked.

"Ummmmm, well I used to pretend to use a bat as a sword. I mean, I doubt that I would be THAT good, but I sort of have an idea of how to use one" nick said.

"Then here" steve said, as he ditatched what was a large sword upon his back. He then handed it to Nick. "Listen man, its a dangerous place around here. I don't know to much about how things work, but if anything, I know for a fact that if you don't have a sword, then you have a good chance of getting screwed over. I know even more that if you are travlen around with us, you are bound to get attacked, though I doubt that you'll be travlen with us for to long. But just use that sword for now. Even in the hands of an ameature, it can be used to hand out some pretty serious damage to whoever the hell is attacking you." steve said.

"Ummmmm, wow, thanks" nick said, as steve also handed him a strap. Nick then fited the strap on, and placed the sword in it. "Gonna be a little weird to get used to" nick said.

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it" steve said.

 

Blade had kept on walking looking around for any danger
