"Then I can't help you." he said, sadly.

 

She still cried.
"I'm afraid to fall in love," she said quickly.

 

"Why?" he asked.

 

She still cried
"Because," she said. that was really all she had to say. The rest was just so confusing.

 

"I don't understand." he said. "Why would anyone be afraid of love?"

 

"Because I'm afraid of getting hurt again," she said.

 

"I would never hurt you." he said.

 

"There's lots of ways to hurt me...Gallad..You might not even know if you do or not," she said.

 

"Well, I would never intentionally hurt you." he said.

 

She sighed.
"Still... I'm afraid," she said.

 

"Hopefully that will pass with time." he said, kissing her cheek.

 

She took a deep breath.
"It might," she said. She blushed a little more and sighed.

 

He hugged her again. "Do you want to go back on Kiara or stay in my arms?" he asked.

 

She blushed and smiled.
"I'd like to stay here," she said.

 

"Alright." he said, smiling as well.

 

She cuddled close up to him and closed her eyes still smiling. SHe was happy, but still afraid.

 

He smiled but was a little heartbroken that she was afraid to love him.

 

Jordan looked back up and opened her eyes.
"When are we getting there?" she asked.

 

"I don't know. I don't even know where we are going." he said. "Our elf friend is leading us."

 

"It is not far," he said icily. He was angry with himself for letting him get too close to the humans. They are frail little creatures....hmph.. Suddenly an arrow was embedded in his back and he slipped off the side of Exuro. He caught a scale and pulled himself back up. "Damn it all," he muttered and yanked the arrow out of his back. Blood spurted everywhere but he simply healed it and twisted his upper body. "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!"
