Digital Art ~Dots 'n' Rainbows~

this has NOTHING to do with my obssession over Naruto, the fact that I used a naruto render is purely coincedential.

Oh my god, I had so much fun making this. I never knew using rainbow colours could be so fun :3
It's a new banner for my shop, I got over Code Geass so yeah...
EDIT: I used minimal brushes and tried to use the default tools in PS more. I downloaded a couple of patterns and a shape tool and that's it.

I made 3 versions too.

v1
With a photo filter and a gradient map applied and set to a low opacity (the gradient map anyway.).


v2
Gradient Map turned off and some random layer in which I forgot what it was set to Hard Light or something :\


v3
All the layers visible and a Black&White gradient map on.



CnC please. What I really want though, is for you guys to tell me which version you think looks best and give me a reason why you like it. Not just an answer like 'I like it because it's pretty.' or something along those lines.

No flamming or ratings please.

 

I like V2. 3 seems pretty plain without color and 1 I think the gradient map takes away from the color too much. To me 2 is the best.

 

Number 2 allllll the way! ^^ I likie that one the most. The colors are much brigher and makes it as if it seems that you can alter what ever you want in art. The first seems too dark and I don't like that. The Third seems it looks like an old shop sig and you are pretty much a non-color lover..... please don't take this seriously. -_-

But a good job on all. ^^

I'd pick the 2nd version - colours look very sharp and alive in that one, suitable to how I remember Naruto being when I used to read the manga. I'm a little "eh" with the lightsource you added tho. It's like the source of the universe came from his bellybutton. :> Take it as you like, just what I thought. The background is just kickass imo. 2nd's a winner.

 

blame photobucket for making the light source look ******ed, i'll try moving it around a bit so it doesnt look so wierd. xD

 

V1 4 me because it has a more classic feel

 

I like version 2 better, it seems brighter and not as boring to me. Version 3 works well too, but the light at the bottom seems to make everything else a little faded. Over all, version 2 just seems to stand out more.
