Kingdom Hearts II Door to light *Spoilers*

Okay when Sora and Riku where on the dark beach after the xemnas battle and Sora reads the letter from Kairi and then the door to light opened, what happened? I always thought the door opened because of soras feelings for Kairi or desire to see her but IDK.

I think it was thier hearts calling eachother. That's why Riku says it's his heart when Sora askes what it was.

 

Maybe,but I thought it just appeared because of.You know what,I agree,that seems like the only logical explaination.I'm really not too sure though.

also quick off-topic question. what WAS the dark beach? was it just some random super tiny world in the Realm of Darkness or what?

 

I think that sitting on the beach they had lost all hope of ever returning home (cue Riku's emoness) and when Sora read the letter his heart was filled with hope again and that opened up the door to light and the chance to go home.

 

It was the light in Sora's heart connected to Kairi's.If you recall in the first kingdom hearts, the papou fruit " Made hearts intertwine[SPL?]"
Plus it can't hurt that you have one boy:The keyblader. Another boy:Supposed to be the keyblader but exposed himslef to darkness."/

 

Sora and Kairi are so connected to one another, that their hearts called to each other so they could be together again. Simple enough.

Then he went through it and came back to Destiny Islands.

 

Thats basicly what had happened.
