Don't you just hate

When every sound you make feels like an explosion when you're sneaking around your house?

 

Yeah. I hate it. And I hate if I sneak around at night and then I drop something like metal on the floor and it is terrible, I curse then hehe

Lucky for me, most of my house is carpet so I can actually sneak around easier.

 

We have old wood, so it is like alarm system, hehe : D

We have carpet too..but there's still the creaky floorboards below it.

Gotta love those creaky floorboards.

 

I sneak around pretty well, but when I'm walking down the stairs it almost sounds like I'm falling down them.

 

I hate it. Especially since my door creaks sometimes when you open it. You try to open it slow and then...crrrrrrrreeeeeeeeaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkk. >_<

 

I Hate It! My Door Creaks, My Floorboards creak, And My Grandads a really Light sleeper, So night time sneaking can rareley be done!, its so annoying! >.<

 

It's really annoying. I try to sneak the phone in my room when my mom's asleep and she always hears me. My floor is carpet, but the phone is in the kitchen and the kitchen is tiled and it creaks! Dx And my door creaks when I try to pull it shut too. I usually get to my door, open it and CREAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. Then my mommy wakes up and yells at me. -_-; I'm always sooo close. ;_;​

Yeah. Especially when you live near and airport AND a fire station. Planes and sirens always making noise. When one goes off, you think "why does someones house be on fire NOW?"

 

Im forever sneaking around at night, so Im trying not to make much noise.. then like one footstep on the stairs is like a flippin' earthquake xD

 

LULZ My parents are so unaware, I can walk around whenever I want and they'll never notice. xD

 

It is because the lack of general background noise causes your hearing to become over-sensitive. Meaning any sounds you hear are amplified, even though other people may not hear them.

The opposite happens when you are in a loud environment, your ears desensitise and you can't hear quieter sounds as well and all sound will seem muffled.

but I mostly mean when you get something, like food. The microwave is an evil thing for being so loud. >_>;
