Doesn't matter if it's new. It just means they are trying to get a response out of people and don't actually mean anything they say. Something I do believe is more likely than anything else.

I wouldn't say that. It's just more fun to mean it sometimes. I feel like you can only have the most fun when you're serious.

 

Comedy Clubs are mega serious.

 

Competitions are serious. We compete for fun. Seriousness can be fun.

 

The Olympic Games are mega fun.

I doubt you're going to convince me serious is fun, my friends are contrary to that all the time.

 

I'm not even saying that being serious is the only way to have fun. I'm just saying I enjoy the fun I derive from doing something seriously than I do the fun I derive from doing something completely frivolous.
