Unofficial Consumer Evaluation Copy. Download, try, like, buy it legally. It's worked so far. And what about keeping the tapes circulating? They're not gonna lose any money if the game is out of print anyway. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Even though there was that one C&D letter from Bethesda.
But it's a copy of Oregon Trail! Here, have one. The kid in the second video wrote on the wrong side of the disc. Which is a worse crime: copying a floppy, or writing on the read side of a disc?
Obviously, he needs to write on the read side, so the disc reader can read the writing. It's obvious, really.
Well maybe he wouldn't have written on those readable surfaces if they weren't being advertised all over the place. That disc was asking for it.
I ignored it because writing on a readable surface is a terrible offense! Now you're supporting the rape of discs. You pig!
