Kingdom Hearts II Donald's error of continuity

Anyway, I mostly agree with everyone else. They probably just didn't recognize the way they got there. It's actually not out of the question that Twilight Town didn't connect to Yen Sid's tower during BBS.

 

Even when it's screenshotted like this, I still can't see it. It just looks like Kairi cowering behind Aqua. :/

To support KS's point about it being unconnected, it's plausible enough, as the end of KH1 jumbled up all the worlds. This could be a result.

 

On the topic of the thread, Donald and Goofy could have simply forgotten. The only times in which we know for sure that Donald and Goofy were there was during BBS and KH2, which is an eleven year difference.

On the Two Kairis topic, I can sorta see it; it looks as though there is another Kairi head on the right side of the Keyblade, which shouldn't be that side if it were just one Kairi.

Hmm. I can almost see it, yeah. There appears to be something there that shouldn't be there, but if I were playing through, I still wouldn't pick it as being a second Kairi unless someone explicitly pointed it out. When I heard people talking about it, I was expecting it to be really obvious.

 

No. It's difficult to spot. But when I found it, I had to see if anyone here had posted anything. They didn't so I did.

 

Overall, this has got to be one of my least favorite retcons in the series. It was just so easily avoidable... there was really no reason at all to include them at Mysterious Tower in BBS. Yet, they did it anyway with nothing to gain from it while just contradicting other entries.

Even besides this, they shouldn't have ever seen a keyblade in BBS because of how KH1 made it seem as if they had never seen one before. Just a gigantic oversight on Square Enix's part, and I'm a bit disappointed in this stupid mystic.

 

Towards this thread's original purpose it was to show how much respect Yen Sid had from people who knew about him which is why Donald is surprised. It's possible that he might have though that Yen Sid went somewhere else. Maybe he forgot. We can't really know. On the subject of 2 Kairi's, I think it's more of a mistake. But seeing as someone found it then maybe Noramura will have to make something up and explain it.

 

10 years is a long time. I'm also gonna go on a limp and say Donald's memories being erased have something to do with it. I know he got them back, but could this be a mistake Namine made?
