I don't find it confusing because we call eachother by our nick-names.

Well, my name is rather unique, yet it's also one of the most common names in the world...One letter makes all the difference. I've met people with similar names, but never a person with MY name in particular; not that they do not exist, of course they do, but they are just not in USA right now. Anyway, I don't think that having a friend with my name would be a problem at all, it'd be rather fun and amusing, I'd seriously flip a biscuit if I really do meet a girl with my name. She'd immediately be ultra cool. However...hehe...I've become rather possessive about the uniqueness of my name over the years, and maybe some sort of envious feelings might occur, but I know I'll get over it soon. Now I do have friends who have the similar name as mine, and since people have trouble pronouncing my name [thanks to that ONE letter difference], I just give the pronunciation of the similar name rather than the actual pronunciation to avoid several minutes of trying to get them to say my name correctly. As for conversation starters, most of the time my strangely common yet unique name is the reason why a conversation had sparked up between my current friends [even those with the similar name] and I the very first time.

Note: Don't ask me my name, I won't tell you. :p

For those of us who already know, it's not hard to figure out what letter that is. I won't tell though. Only because you know my name.

I think it would be much more interesting if two people with the same name worked together. What if you got fired just cuz you had the same name and they don't figure out the mistake until after you clean out your locker.

Well I have no problem at all.
My name is both common and unique, Karla.
I have about three friends whose names are Carla and one friend whose Karla...
    I don't see what's wrong with it. O.O
