Kingdom Hearts Does anyone on this site even Sora is a great character?

Anyway, I enjoy Sora as a character. It'd just be nice if he got some sort of backstory, or a little character development. He's just kind of the adorable, childish person in the series.

I kinda wish that he wasn't so childish in KHII, i mean i can see why he, because the game is steered toward littler kids and teenagers think that it kinda immature and childish, well i mean a little immaturity is alright but a lot of it is pathetic...

 

He's okay... But he is a bit stupid and cliche and irony seem to follow him a lot, he's just the same as any other character, childish and adorable =]

 

Did anyone else notice in the 2nd game when Gooly gets hit with the rock after you beat Demyx, how mad he got on the way to the Crystal Cavern......i was like whoa, and then the extremely Cliche climatic hug that followed, was anyone else creeped out by that.....?

 

WEll you have to see that he was asleep for a whole year and probabley missed puberty in brain development or something which is why he was childish in kh2. so he was a 13 year old in a 14 year old body.
And I don't hate him and can't see anyone hate him.

 

I actually think that he kinda matured toward the end of the game if ya thought about it, he became more and more responsible so i don't hate him......now....

 

what did you expect? him to go on a killing spree?

plus they never checked his pulse. there fault for being stupid

 

I hate Sora. Battlewise he's ok, because he's the main character and wields a keyblade and has cool spells and abilities, but character wise he's just stupid.

He's childish, immature, irresponsible, and very, VERY dumb. First off, I hated how the guy only cares about his friends. What about his parents? In KH1 his home just got destroyed and all he can think about is Riku and Kairi. What about his mother, the most important woman in his life? What about his dad? He doesn't even mention them, he doesn't even make a note of how he misses them. It's like he never had any parents at all, and I blame Square Enix for this lazy writing. It's a mistake they made over and over, in this game as well.

Furthermore, Sora is just stupid, even in KHII. He's like the kind of guy who'd say NOTHING CAN BEAT FRIENDSHIP AND THE POWER OF GOOD and can't see the negative sides of things. Does he even realize he's killing people when he slaughters Organization XIII?

Actually I think naive is a better word for it then dumb, even though he's also really dumb.

I think Sora's character is just too underdeveloped, only focusing on his two friends Riku and Kairi and not anything else. If you'd say "Sora is a 15-year old boy who is the Keyblade master and cares about his friends", you've basically summed up his entire character description.

So no, I don't he's a great character. He's not even okay. He's bad. But his combat skills and the other characters make up for it enough to bear with it.

Oh tiny tidbit I forgot: He also looks pretty awesome. That also makes up for it a little.

ANYWAYS, my opinion about Sora. He doesn't really think things through. He kinda just plows his way around just knowing that heartless and nobodies equal bad.

But on a lighter note, I think he's so adorable. xDD

 

He was a pretty smart and intelligent character in kh1. By the time kh2 came, he had become dumber, cornier and just plain annoying. Whatever he made up in terms of fighting skill he lost in character.

 

Yeah, like I said, he does look awesome. Really, I think he can beat Cloud or Leon in looks. It's just his personality I hate.

 

In all honesty, most of the characters in Kingdom Hearts are paper thin -- even with all of the things that happened to Sora, he's still a happy-go-lucky moron. I sort of like him that way though XD. He's my favorite character.
The issue with this game is, the characters all seem to be really cheerful or really angsty, so picking favorite characters ends up a bit like picking sides...

 

I wish that he looked like himself and had the personality of cloud and had D.I.Z's voice now that would be wierd.....
