I thought Lexaeus's original name was Aeleus?

 

I think they made a mistake spelling it in the English version like they did with Aerith.

 

No, in the NTSC version it was mistranslated as "Eleus." But I was under the impression that the PAL version corrected their names? It was "Aeleus" in the PAL version.

Edit: Seems Wikipedia agrees with me.

 

That's what I heard, too. They said "Eleus" was a mistake on one of those websites I visited...

Not to mention "Aerith" is correct, "Aeris" was the mistranslation.

Basically the first 6 Organization XIII members were originally Ansem's apprentices. It's mentioned in lots of official work.

guess my theory was wrong.
I thought that the Org. XIII members with the yellow eyes were Ansem's apprentices...

 

Nope, just the first six. (I used the spelling Mey'd for Demyx, though... VII-XII aren't any confirmed name)
