Television Doctor Who

BBC has an interesting way of controlling an audience. I mean look at Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Merlin. All popular series that only BBC can give us. I don't even bother watching American T.V. anymore. Do you guys feel the same way?

 

To be honest, with Oswin being the next companion, there is still no clear explanation of how she would've not remembered the Doctor at the Asylum. D:

The companion should be from present time, imo, cause the companion should be the audience's way to understand the situation at hand. If the companion is from the future, they would know all the future stuff and so then the doctor would not need to explain anything to the companion. Then in the end, us audience would be like "wtf is going on?" when everyone in the show knows what is going on.

Also, Do we really need another River Song ending for a companion? Dying right when the audience meets them?

 

Grimm, Once Upon A Time, Supernatural (though I haven't seen it), etc.

Well, technically, they're two different people. Oswin Oswald was the girl from Asylum of the Daleks and then Clara Oswald is going to be introduced in the Christmas special. My theory is that

Owsin is Clara's descendant. It would make sense because human exploration in space doesn't take place for centuries. She talks about "wanting to see the stars" and I wonder if that isn't because of stories that were passed down from Clara about her travels with Eleven.

Though that's just me.

 

Oh.My.Gosh. one of the best shows i've ever watched. But I can't wait till Christmas. It's just too far away. Now I'm afraid everytime i see a statue of an angel and I told all my friends if they want to now what to get me for my birthday, get me a TARDIS.

 

Haha, yeah, I've always thought they were two different people. Just questioning the people who DO think the next companion is Oswin. I DO love the idea of being a descendant, it would make better sense.

 

I was just about to post this! I can't believe they didn't actually film that, I think it would have been perfect! A grandson being younger than the grandad though xD TIMEY WIMEY much?

I'm glad Brian got a happy ending as well.

Also, on the Oswin debate- Cat's point does make sense and I hope that is the case but I did read someone calling her "Clara Oswin Oswald" but that could just be their own opinion being put into the article I was reading. No idea on how she survived.

 

I think it's about time we had a proper Cyberman finale. Army of Ghosts looked promising, but then the Daleks showed up and pretty much upstaged them.

 

I love the cybermen, they need more love personally xD and plus the episode is written by Neil Gaiman (writer of "The Doctor's wife") so the episode is pretty promising. Also, there is a confirmed cast of Warwick Davis (Life’s Too Short and Harry Potter), Tamzin Outhwaite (EastEnders and Hotel Babylon) and Jason Watkins (Being Human and Lark Rise to Candleford) as the guest stars. This should be a brilliant episode.

Also, Colin Baker (6th Doctor) is due to go into "I'm a celebrity get me out of here".

 

Oh right, penultimate. My bad. They're still due for one, though.

And I thought it was already confirmed that they were going to get a redesign?

 

Image is broken (click here), but I like the redesign; I also enjoy how Moffat is starting to bring back things from series' past. It'll certainly be nice to see the Cybermen get another upgrade ( :lolface: ) and I'm excitedly anticipating Christmas. <3

 

Oooh, I really like them- they seem like a mix from the latest version and the old versions which is probably really good. As long as they kept the handle head then I was alright (which I doubt they'd ever get rid of really).

I also quite liked the new Dalek paradigm as they were new and exciting, the bright colours may have seemed like something from Power rangers but I still really liked their huge demeanour being eye level with the Doctor- but that's just me.
