That's true! So I'm not really certain. Perception filter maybe?

Each Doctor lasted the following amount of time:
    1st: 3 years
    2nd: 3 years
3rd: 5 years (would have lasted longer had Roger Delgado (the first Master) not died in a car accident)
    4th: 7 years
    5th: 3 years
6th: 2 years (shortest run in the old series and the only Doctor to actually be fired (though due to circumstances beyond his control). Would have lasted longer had he gotten the chance as he wanted to break Tom Baker's record)
7th: 3 years (Would have lasted longer had the show not been canceled)
8th: 1 year (well, one movie to be exact)
9th: 1 year (shortest run of any Doctor on the show proper)
    10th: 4 years
    11th: 3 years as of 2012

In other words, you can't even say that Tennent was the second longest lasting Doctor as Jon Pertwee lasted one year more than he did.

More like please DON'T be true since Rose was a ****ing god awful character.

Honestly, she was fine in the first season and, in fact, was vital to the 9th Doctor's character development (ironically, the 9th is my favorite), but, and I **** you not, afterwards, Russel T. Davies decided that Rose was the "perfect" companion and, as such, no longer needed any character development. Instead, he ROLLED BACK her character development, made her particularly bitchy to her family and particularly clingy to The Doctor. Then, Davies gave her the most complex and overwritten send off of any character I've seen on the show (Martha? Left the TARDIS on her own. Donna? Mindwiped and went on with her life. Jack? Abandoned. Twice. The 9th goddamn Doctor? quick explanation of regeneration, then regenerate with a smile) when the Doctor siphoned energy off a star to send a message to the parallel universe and waste the last quarter of Rose's last episode. The the Doctor spends practically the entirety of the third season moping around because he can't be with Rose when no other character before or since (not even Romana or Sarah Jane) had him be so mopey. Then, in the fourth season, she nearly DESTROYED THE ****ING MULTIVERSE because she wanted to be with the Doctor, THEN she happily gives up on the Doctor for his clone (which is bullshit, too, but for other reasons) for no reason the moment he is created. Rose was a ridiculous Mary Sue and I hope she never appears again.

Thank you, just thank you. She stayed around way too long for her own good.

While I do agree that Rose's over all resolution was ridic (I love the Doctor and want to travel with him but oh wait here's a double that's ok), I think it's natural that the Doctor was mopey (which he was!) after losing her. The guy had just lost all his people--Rose is the first person he opened up to after that, the first person he felt close with, and then she too is lost--at the Dalek's hand (by extension), too! It starts to harbor in him this guilty conscience that we see so prevalent in the fifth and sixth seasons, after Martha, Donna, & the Ponds add to it (unintentionally of course). Naturally, he pulls back with Martha and Donna, hesitating far more to allow them to get close to him.

Tennant (as a Doctor) is quite in touch with human emotions. I would say that's kind of his schtick; Eccleston was the shell-shocked, Smith has receded into childhood/immaturity because he hates himself so much & has had so much happen to him.

Just how I look at it. I did really like Rose, though, so biased. haha.

However advanced they may be. I think the TARDIS is a bit more advanced. However,
the Daleks were also having their attention preoccupied with blowing up the planet. They got the signal of an incoming teleport, but they couldn't track where it went. My guess, as said before, the TARDIS' shield stopped them from being able to sense the presence of the Doctor, Amy, and Rory. However it happened, it was a stupendous episode in my book.

Biggest surprise of Asylum for me was
not that Oswin was a Dalek all along (which I pieced together about halfway to three-fourths through the episode), but seeing ****ing Skaro alive and well at the beginning. Wasn't it blown up with its sun in Remembrance by the Seventh Doctor using a manipulated Davros?

If we question why Skaro is around then I at least ask why Davros and the Daleks keep comming back from the dead.

I'm not completely up to date with the old series so it probably is a big plothole but I know that the Skaro in the time war was time locked so it will forever exist inside the lock but the actual skaro survived but is just a wreck. Perhaps it's a planet made of Darlekanium xD which can sustain explosions? No idea.

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on the new episode?

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode, I was amused by the addition of Rory's dad and the fact that he has a 'team' so to speak was also quite fun. I love Rupert Graves as an actor and I loved him in this and the woman who played Nefertiti. I rarely have little to complain about because I'm thoroughly enjoying these episodes, I thought the animatronic dinosaurs (and sometimes CGI) were fantastic and worked really well in comparison to what we actually know about dinosaurs.

Also, when Amy and the Doctor were talking about outliving the other (forgotten the exact wording) I couldn't help but feel a possible foreshadowing for episode 5 ;-; I don't know though, she may survive.

I wish I had more to say but there were no big revelations like last week.

It's no "Asylum of the Daleks," but I generally liked it. I really liked Brian, and I was thinking of Harry Potter a lot when he was facing Solomon (Arthur Weasley meets Mr. Filch? Yes please!)

Well, Rememberance of the Daleks was the last (and best) Dalek episode of the old series, so yes, it is a plot hole. However, it is also a plot hole that has existed since the 1996 movie (which had the Daleks executing The Master... after a trial. Because we all know that Daleks are totally into due process).

Well hey man, they have a Prime Minister so who knows! Though the trial probably went like this:

Dalek Judge: HOW DOES THE DEF-FENCE PLEAD?
    Dalek Lawyer: GUIL-TY!
Dalek Judge: THEN I SENTANCE THE TIME LORD KNOWN AS THE MAS-TER TO EX-TERM-IN-A-TION!

Meh, that's better than any explanation the actual writers have given.

That said, the movie actually isn't that bad. Especially Paul McGann's performance as The Doctor. As a friend of mine put it, "Great Doctor, ok movie, terrible continuity.

"Ok movie"? Hmm, five words: the Doctor is half human.

Though yeah, Paul McGann was pretty good as the Doctor. Shame all he got was that movie and an audio drama series.

Yes, yes, stupid plot point that I throw in with the other continuity issues. The adventure itself isn't terrible and, in fact, could have been pretty damn good if it had the chance.
