I think I shall just put a dump collection of all the uploaded clips I have come across for the 50th annviersary:

Also, the guy at 0:25 has converse and a brown suit... It could mean absolutely nothing but just something I spotted :3

Also, interesting point made in the comments (now we know where in his time line he is from):

    Had to split this into 2 posts as there was more than 5 media things ;-;

This has recieved some brilliant reviews and (don't know when it broadcasts in America) broadcasts in UK on friday 22nd... I think.

David Tennant introduces The Day of the Doctor with his normal, serious tone.

Parody of Doctor Who and The Hunger games (WARNING: GORE AND OTHER VIOLENT THEMES):

    A really cool animation thing:

There will also be loads of interviews and stuff but I haven't watched them all so I won't even go into them 0.o

That's not North America, that's just America. It's showing in Canada too.

Unfortunately, all the showings on the 23rd are sold out where I am, so I'm seeing it on the 25th. Still watching it on the 23rd, but in theatres on the 25th.

Sorry about that, just copied the list from where I got the news and only checking for my local theater.

    Anyway, I am jealous of everyone seeing in theaters. No theater next to me is playing it on the 23rd, and the 25th won't work either because of classes... ;~;

It' s not a theater only thing right ? I figure it' ll be on TV too ?

There' s been daily episodes on France 4 for a while now, they finally reached the latest episode today. Saturday they' ll throw in a whole Dr Who special, with the 50th anniversary movie, animated shorts, other random stuff and a season 6 marathon.

I think I' ll try to watch it, even though I probably won' t understand half of it (I' ve only watched a dozen random episodes, I can' t download anything anymore, and the old seasons seem to be a ***** to find anyway).

Why on earth would I want to go watch this in theaters ... around other people ... noisy, loud, smelly, rude people. I stayed at home and enjoyed the 50th special in all its glory.

Okay so I basically loved everything about the special. I loved Clara most of all. I love how she interrupted The Doctor's brilliant moment with the door ... it was unlocked, lol. I love that we got to see 8, 10, and 11 working together. Would've been nice to see 9 in there too but, meh. There's one thing that stood out when they were saving Gallifrey, it was said that all twelve were there helping ... but immediately corrected by saying that the thirteen were there. My heart sort of sunk, just a bit when I heard thirteen mentioned.

Short review thing is really short. Welp, see ya'll here again next year when the next season premieres. Just kidding, I'll see ya'll here around Christmas.

Finally watched it, and absolutely loved it! I was reminded once more of why 10 was, still is, and will forever be, my Doctor! A great way to celebrate 50 years of the show. And...

Seems the Doctor's objective now is to look for Gallifrey. I hope I get see the moment he does that. Oh, and the way they sneaked the 12th (or should I say 13th) Doctor was really clever of them.

So these are my thoughts on the episode:

Oh my word! It was glorious to say the least xD

It managed to be funny while still maintaining a good way of telling a story as well as adding in some fun parts for all the fans! It also had quite a bit of banter between the Doctor's which I think previous multi-doctor episodes failed to do which was always quite sad (not that I don't like The Five/Two/Three Doctors).

It makes me strangely happy that Galifrey was saved even if the Doctor hated his people in the end (well that was what it seemed before but of course this shows his deep regret) because it means the Master can come back as he was trapped in the timelock with Rassilon as well as ALL THE TIMELORDS! : D And I feel that some of the best episodes of classic who involved the timelords (TRIAL OF A FREAKING TIMELORD!!!) and it will be nice to see a modern adaptation of it. Of course, this is a bit of an assumption that he will go searching for Galifrey, he may not do it immediately or he may wait until the Daleks are all dead (meaning he will probably never find it xD). However, I was worried that bringing Galifrey back would just restart the Time war which isn't great as we don't want repeat stories but it could be that Clara hacks into the Dalek mind web thingy (forgotten it's actual name but basically how Oswin made them forget the Doctor) to make them forget their entire hatred of Timelords? Just a theory.

I thought John Hurt was fabulous and I am kind of glad Rose didn't return as her storyline feels complete but Billie is brilliant. I do kind of wish we could have had just a moment of 10 seeing The Moment incarnate as we only got a mention and a shocked face which was sad but fair enough.

My other sad point about it was not even seeing his regenerate into Eccleston which I can understand because he refused to be in it but it was literally a moment's filming unless that is why he didn't want to do it and he wanted a bigger part? Yeah, no idea, I guess Moffat offered him a role the size of Tennant's but he just refused. Anyway, I thought we would see him when Hurt started regenerating but oh well.

... Peter freaking Capaldi! That is all I can really say, I had a huge fangirl moment when we saw him xD Major eyebrow porn!

Also, I quite liked the cameo from Tom Baker even if it confused me a bit. Cat explained it as being a future Doctor who regenerated into a previous face but it still feels strange. I will come back to this in a bit!

So overall, great episode that not only favoured the last 50 years but also set up for another 50 years! Well, I hope so anyway!

Also, if you can, go watch The Five(ish) Doctor's reboot written by Peter Davison. It's a comedy sketch (I say sketch- it is a full blown episode that is like 30 minutes long) about Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy trying to get themselves into the 50th anniversary episode. It is rather funny, I love Davison's sense of humour as he just turns the whole thing into a joke! Anyway, it is on BBC iPlayer for people in the UK to see up until 30th November, I'm sure it can be found on google otherwise but I can't google it as I don't know what would work outside the UK so you will ahve to look.

But it makes me happy to see that they were actually in the 50th... I think anyway! xD

And now for the Christmas special. This piece of information came out today but it contains major spoilers and it shocked me quite a bit so view at your own discretion.

    SOURCE

So what do you all think of this?

My first thought when reading the headline was "What?" but I actually quite like this idea! It means the regeneration limit will be tacked at christmas so sooner than we all thought! I am quite excited to see how he will do it.

Another report (can't find it right now) talked of Matt Smith having a very emotional speech before he regenerates thinking he will die which is going to be heartbreaking for one! But this also messes up the idea that the curator in the 50th anniversary is a future incarnation as surely the Doctor would know he has a future. However, in the Name of the Doctor, his grave is his current TARDIS desktop theme... yeah.

Anyway, this report may be complete rubbish (however I have seen 2 different reports on the same subject... but that could just be reporting off a report if you get me.) So it's not definite yet but I kind of hope it is real as the feeling of him tackling the limit now quite cool plus to see the Doctor feel like he will actually die is quite a spectacle.

I agree that John Hurt was a fabulous Doctor, though I feel sad that this would possibly be the only time we ever see him. I was also sad Eccleston wasn't able to return, since he was my first Doctor. And yeah, that Capaldi cameo was OMG Amazing! XD

Though apparently, it seems that it's possible for the Doctor to regenerate into his older incarnations (well, older versions of them at least). I wonder if in the future, they'll seriously consider that. Speaking of which, regeneration limit... I think finding Gallifrey is how the Doctor will solve this issue. Perhaps when he does find his planet once more, they could possibly change the rules or something, then the limit will be resolved. But like you said , there is the issue of the Master and Rassilon returning... which would be awesome!

I wonder... was Moffat aiming for a sort of trilogy with these "of the Doctor" episodes as a lead-up to Matt Smith's departure?

I have a lot of thoughts about the 50th but I'm trying to let them sit for a while, maybe re-watch the episode before I really write them down hehe.

As for Enzy's (possible) Christmas spoilers:
Even if the regeneration limit isn't tackled in the Christmas special, I imagine it will have to be with Capaldi--especially because, in the 50th, when all the Doctors were coming together to save Gallifrey, they said that it was "all 13." That leaves the implication that Capaldi will be his last regeneration. There are a lot of theories on how he could get around the limit (and I will kill someone not really if Doctor Who ends without a female or not-white Doctor), but I'm still really hoping that what we've discussed on and off about River in Let's Kill Hitler pans out. She just seems to me as such a major character (though again, haven't watched Classic Who) that I think it'd be a shame for her storyline to be "finished" with just a "goodbye sweetie." But that is largely influenced by my deep love for River.

I've also seen a theory floating around tumblr that Capaldi, knowing he's on his last regeneration, will be seeking Gallifrey to find a way to cheat death. That would resolve one of my problems with the 50th special (they removed a large part of the Doctor's internal conflict) in that it will give the Doctor a new conflict: whether he should be allowed to cheat death. This was done not so well in series six, but is an interesting moral conundrum: fighting the laws of time (BASICALLY PLZ JUST GIVE ME ANOTHER WATERS OF MARS).

I just got back from seeing the 50th Anniversary. To sum up how I felt about it:

Will go into them tomorrow. I'm tired and I'm going to bed!

Well, I am slowly getting through all the classic episodes and I haven't come across much yet but the one thing that I hope is addressed is the creation of the Valeyard.

For those who don't know: The Valeyard is a dark side of the Doctor created between his 12 and 13th regenerations that attempts to get the Sixth Doctor killed so he can have his remaining regenerations (which doesn't make sense since it would create a paradox but hey, it's the Timelords...). It is a brilliant classic story and I would recommend Trial of a Timelord a thousand times over (it made me really like Colin Baker as well).

According to this new spoilerish stuff, the Doctor's 12th and 13th regenerations were TenTWO and Smith which doesn't really work as they didn't follow on from each other. So I hope that the Valeyard is addressed soon, perhaps in some way he is what allows the Doctor to regenerate again.

But does the Doctor need an inner conflict? He went through most of the previous regenerations without much, he went through dilemmas like whether to kill the Daleks before they were born or through the death of companions. I agree that the inner conflict shown through the destruction of his home planet was very interesting and gave him an edge but I'm sure it could be replicated through other storylines. I think it would be quite nice to see a happy Doctor, you do get an awful lot of depressing stories with the Doctor losing and getting enraged with himself so it might make a nice change of heart to have him satisfied and perhaps content with his life.

Also, CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THE DOCTOR IS WEARING HIS VICTORIAN ENGLAND CHRISTMAS CLOTHES ;-; I don't know why but it's nice to see them again but also sad.

Also, I can't find it right now but there was a news article pointing out cool things in this picture but the most interesting was Capaldi's face in the fire between 11 and Clara's hands. I am excited! : D

    Also... like whut?

    The Name of the Doctor
    The Night of the Doctor
    The Day of the Doctor
    The Time of the Doctor

This better have some meaning otherwise they are being uninventive with names xD

Great fun all round. Right, so thoughts on fiftieth anniversary!

Strax giving movie going etiquette was pretty funny. Ah, the screams of popcorn.

According to the Doctor my dad is a Zygon and was going to kill me. That wacky Doctor~ :D

John Hurt was an amazing Doctor, kinda sad this may be the last time we see him in the roll. He was really great and just worked great with Matt and David's Doctors. Unless they make a movie about the Time War. That'd be cool.

Getting to see some parts of the Time War was really cool, seeing how they've hyped it up since the beginning of the 9th Doctor's run.

Honestly not too sure what to say about it that hasn't already been said sooo...
ALL THE DOCTORS?! TOGETHER TO SAVE GALLIFREY?! AT THE SAME TIME?!

TIME CHANGED! So, if the Time War wasn't time locked then does that mean Dalek Caan didn't go insane? And what about the End of Time where Gallifrey gets out of Time Lock?

Holy crap! Tom Baker at the end! OMGWTF! THIS IS AMAZING!

    That's all I got to say. ^^;

I believe what happened in The End of Time happened shortly before Gallifrey was saved. Meaning there may be a possibility for the return of baddies like Rassilon and the Master. And maybe that mysterious woman from the End of Time could return too...

I cannot describe how much I love the new poster and just how excited I am that the Silence are returning because they are probably my favourite monster : D

Also, new extended BBC One christmas trailer which includes clips from Doctor Who and Sherlock. http://www.doctorwhotv.co.uk/more-t...-clips-in-extended-bbc-xmas-trailer-56488.htm

I've heard that series 8 may start with a 2 parter... this has got me so happy and excited simply because that was the one thing I thought needed to return for definite!
