Television Doctor Who

Shiiiit those are two of my favorite episodes in the entire series. I do really hope they throw US fans a bone and somehow air it here, though. It seems unfair not to...

 

Don't they always release Doctor Who DVDs and Blu-Rays? It was filmed in 3D so I'd guess they'd wanna make the most of that. Even though they never arrive way out here </3

 

Pretty sure that is the case, actually.

And the good thing about blu-rays is that [as far as I know] they're not region locked like DVDs.
Although an international release would be lovely considering how big the fanbase has become.

 

They are, unfortunately. D: I tried asking my dad's friends in England to get me some copies when I was getting into the show, but the UK has a different Blu-Ray region from ours, so no dice. Doesn't the states get the series Blu-Rays and DVDs as well?

 

We do, though the blu-rays aren't really worth the extra twenty-thirty bucks per series imo.
Weird, I thought I'd seen a couple guys import Advent Children from Japan and use it on a PS3. Oh well.

Is it true that the new 3D special they are coming out with is bringing back 9 and 10, as well as some of the older ones? I'd always dreamed about David and Matt meeting up, will it be coming into fruition? ^^

 

Based on what I've heard,

The plot is more or less about how something happens, and River ends up having to bring together all 11 doctors. Also, the antagonist from Dinosaurs in a Spaceship will be taking the role of the First Doctor. May or may not be related to the upcoming comic story of how someone's been stalking The Doctor all the way from before his first regeneration, but that last party's just a hunch on my part.

Well, David Bradley (Solomon in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship) is to play William Hartnell in Mark Gatiss' story of how the show began. Reece Shearsmith is to play Patrick Troughton as well which I was quite excited about as I grew up on him. This isn't anything to do with the actual 50th anniversary episode that Moffat is working on. This is just all about the birth of the show and will air around November I think. However, I like your speculation, I think it would make an interesting story to see him being stalked XD it's not at all far fetched either.

 

It wouldn't surprise me as many major television networks are giving it a try, but ain't nothing going to take me away from my Netflix/Hulu/Amazon triple threat. 8)

 

idk about you guys but I'm ****ing psyched to find out about the Spoonheads.

 

I must say, I will miss Eleven's old outfit. I mean it seems to be that he won't be using the same thing anymore, based on the trailers. Sigh.

Clara's inevitable death(s)

there's absolutely no way he'll remain the same as in Series 5/6. He's suffered so much, even after having overcome (from what I can see) the death of the Time Lords and his heart has been rebroken: it needs time to heal again. They're just taking him into another direction, and despite my fear that the purple & gold combo will seem like overkill, I'm confident he'll be as ready for action as ever.
