Doctor Who (I think this is media?)

Well for us UK people we saw the end of time part two and...

SPOILERS!












...David Tenant bowed out and Matt Smith has taken the mantle of the Doctor. But thats not all since head writer/producer Russel T Davies and that other producer I forgot the name of [lol] have retired too meaning next year is a total revamp of the series.

New logo, new tardis, new head writer so everything is new!

So is anyone else excited for next year? (And if you american fans are gonna watch the marathon on bbc america where it concludes midnight tomorrow are welcome to join in too).

Well as long as Matt does the job nicely, it won't matter. The Moffat era should be better that RTD's era hopefully.

 

Because the Doctor is well known for being a handsome bugger yes?



Anywho, yeah, it is media (media = TV, radio, etc)
I actually like the look of the 11th Doctor, he seems to be a bit of a young man who clings to his former childish behaviour yet also shows maturity and has an obsession with the word geronimo. I think he'll be a fitting doctor unlike the fools who complain already about him not being the same as David Tennant which defies the point of the Doctor's regeneration.

 

LOL on the ugly claims...

I'd say theres at least 8 doctors that look worse than matt (with Tenant and Davison being the only ones to look more handsome).

And the word geronimo will probs only be mentioned twice; though the doctor does usually have a catch phrase [tom baker and jelly babies].

I'm excited for Peter Moffet's era as he is a brilliant writer and did some of my favourite episodes so far.

 

As long as he has that charm i've seen from Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, than I believe he'll do well in the role.

I've never watched Doctor Who intensely, the odd episode, but I may start watching these ones all the way through, since I do quite enjoy it.

 

I watched the series obsessively until Catherine Tate was introduced, then everything went downhill in my eyes. Hopefully with a new doctor AND new partner it'll freshen things up in a good way.

I can only assume that you are referring to Catherine Tate's portrayal in the Christmas Special 'The Runaway Bride' because quite frankly, Donna Noble was perhaps the Best Companion The Tenth Doctor ever had.

 

I'm really excited about the new doctor. I'll miss David but Matt looks like he might be quite good. I saw him in 'the ruby in the smoke' - with Billy Piper actually haha - and i loved him in that. I feel sorry for the guy though, he has alot to live up to so i only hope people give him a chance.

 

Wasn't it the same thing when David Tennant started playing the Doctor? I'm sure people thought he was going to suck and look what's happened now. I'm pretty sure the same thing will happen to Matt Smith.

 

i did prefer the david more than the others...but i'm gonna wait to make my judgement till i see an episode or two
