Do you want to see more romance between Sora and Kairi?

Kairi's significance plummeted in KHII, there's no denying that. It gave me whiplash. My answer is "Yes," for the simple fact that it falls in line with the build-up from the first game; they were developing some kind of bond, with Sora seeing just enough maturity to start taking it seriously, and then it just sort of dropped off. I suppose it can be summarily hand-waved as Naminé Shenanigans™, but now that that's past us it's time to get back on track.

Ordinarily I wouldn't mind the lack of romance, but it's too sudden in this case. Nomura needs to choose one way or the other, and I'd rather he stick with the original idea. They have a good relationship and they're cute together besides that. Anyone remember "Sora, don't ever change" from the beginning? I sure do.

 

...He did get on his hands and knees for her, though. Remember when Saïx said he'd lead them to Kairi if Sora begged him?

 

I kind of like SoKai as is, I think they have a really adorable relationship going and the whole "oooh he likes her/she likes him but they are too afraid to tell each other thing!" is pretty cute. :3 But for the sake of the series and the characters maturing, that may have to end soon.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing some romance, maybe a kiss on the cheek or something but that's just about it. XD I like the way they are. Gives me something to root for. If they got together I would just go. "Awww... okay then." I can't imagine them getting together unless it were in fanfiction.

 

There even IS a fanfiction entitled "Sora and Kairi's Wedding" that's had over thirty chapters and still hasn't advanced their relationship. Last chapter is next too.

 

It needs to happen like this.

though personally an "I love you/I know" exchange between them would make my life. even though it's pretty out of character.
