Do you want Kairi to be a playable character in a future KH game?

That would be cool. I wanna see Kairi kick ass in my command. But maybe just for a short time like in the Xemnas final battle, where you get to play Riku for a while.

No I don't want her to be controlable. The Japanese have a nasty habit of making female characters much weaker than the males which makes the game ten times harder. plus I don't like Kairi that much. She's a little...insipid? Not some much in 2, but She was boring in the original. What kind of girl doesn't want to fight??

​I-personally- wouldn't want to see Kairi as a playable character.
I mean, in both KH1&KH2, she was the character Sora was trying to find.
If she were a playable character,
fighting by Sora or Rikus side,
then the story line would get messed up.
Isnt the reason why all this started was because Sora was trying to find Kairi and Riku.

I think it would be best if she would just stay as a background/secondary character in the KH series.

I've heard that at the ending of Dream Drop Distance, Kairi is gotten by Sora and Riku to be trained by Yen Sid to handle the Keyblade that Riku had given her in Kingdom Hearts II. I'm not sure if it's actually true or not, but I'm sure it is. Honestly, it's a very disappointing thing for me to hear, because as I think I've stated before, I don't like Kairi at all; but I suppose that it's time she's earned her keep in the series instead of being a useless 'important' princess.

Who knows, maybe I'll form some kind of fondness for her in future games . . .​

 

Yup, you're right. It's in the secret ending that Riku brings her to Yen Sid. I guarantee you'll /probably/ find to love her because dude, it's Square. They're geniuses. They WILL find a way to make her story truly outstanding and worthwhile; they know how to. Plus, Hayden Panettiere Is an amazing actress. I'm sure all of the ("No!!! Sora!!" "Rikuuuu!!!")'s will be awesome. LOL xD

Dumbass. There's NOTHING wrong with giving characters development that we hardly even know about. Besides, she's going to be trained to become a Keyblade master to defeat Xehanort alongside the 6 obvious others, as revealed in KH 3D's secret ending. Haha. I guess you'll just have to endure her ENTIRE playable story to the end. You're ****ing ******ed if you think playing as her in PS3 graphics with her ACTUALLY IN the story this time doesn't sound amazing, or at LEAST fun. What the **** is wrong with you? At least she'll have more than 2 ****ing lines.

Her voice actresses (eng/jap) have been in it JUST as long as Sora's/Riku's, so she deserves it just as much as they do. And Hayden Panittierre is an AMAAAAZING actress. Have you even seen her in Heroes? She's BOUND to have a huge roll in KH3........

On the topic, I have been asking for this for years, which is why I'm so excited about the DDD secret ending. I mean, I don't think she'll be a main character in her own game, but I'd at least like to see her get some playabiity now.

I personally would like to play as Kairi. It's a little sad that there's only 6 Original Characters (That I can think of off the top of my head) that are girls in the series (Larxeen, Namine, Kairi, Xion, Aqua, and Kairi's grandmother) I think Kairi needs to be a little more helpful instead of being stuck on the Island, or getting caught. She can still play DnD but maybe a little less....

 

The more gameplays greater... a "simple" game like BBs was re-done 3 times by different perspectives and it was great! I think a game with the "new trio" could be as good as BBs, if not only to play more KH when it's over.

Besides the point. I wish for Kairi to be playable. I really do. And it will most likely happen. It will probably even be the first part of the game. She will be the intro for new players to learn the ropes. It would make sense. But sense Namine is a part of her, and sense I love Namine, I wan Kairi to fight and not leave Aqua to be the only Keyblade wielding female, excluding Xion. I think she is a girl but others say otherwise.

Really? I always thought they made Marluxia a dude because they didn't want the traitors to both be girls.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing Kairi as a playable character. If she is Aqua's successor then I don't see why not. It would be cool to see Sora, Kairi and Riku fight together.
