Do you use 4chan memes in real life?

I overheard two people who I once considered normal friends begin to use old memes like "SHOOP DA WHOOP" and "DO U LEIK MUDKIPS LOL". I began to feel a great disgust towards them since they not only sounded like ******s but they were also using dead memes and constantly talked about encyclopedia dramatica. I even have a friend who uses things like "TITS OR GTFO" and "RAPTOR JESUS LAWLZ" and has never even gone on 4chan. I only know 1 of my friends who goes on /b/, and we'll only talk about it if there was something on /b/ worth mentioning. Other than that we don't speak of it.

My question is do you use any memes or internet references with your friends?

yes, sometimes, but none of my *** friends get them.

 

.......don't really know any memes....>_>...am I considered lucky or sheltered?....(or both) But either way....no offense to your friends but....uh....>_>...that seems kind of lame....

Using anything from a forum (including memes) in real life is considered uncool among my friends. (Understandably) I dont really care for memes, so I dont use em any how.

Yes, i do some of them all the time (assuming that all big memes are from 4chan).

I rickroll'd one or two people and i mumble stuff to my friends who really don't know anything about memes. I also reference motovational posters in my conversations.

 

Mainly only "FAIL" or "EPIC".

Not really. Maybe really small ones like "FAIL" like Ember mentioned. Other than that, I don't think I've ever did that.
I do use a lot personal memes with my friends though. Like when something hugely funny happened or was said a long time ago we might dig it up again when the opportunity arises.
