I don't really know. I think that Xehanort might have been the reason for all of this because Ansem wanted to cease this experiment, but Xehanort kept the process going even after Ansem said to stop.

So yeah, I think that it might be Ansem's fault, but Xehanort continued the process.

It was Xehanort that wanted to keep on studying the Heartless and stuff after Ansem told him no.

Everthing that has happened was because of Ansem. If he wanted to be so smart why didn't he just read a book or something. What an idiot, but without him doing all this there would never be any kingdom hearts games or some other person would want to find out mora about the heart and follow in his footsteps. I know that i would as long as i didnt end up like him though.

Yes, it was his fault. Ansem encouraged Xehanort to it, y'know.

 

I blame him for everything, even global warming :O But in the end, it was his fault, and he released heartless, and nobodies and whatever else into the worlds.

 

I don't think we'll find out until we beat BBS but it maybe his fault. I'm not sure.

 

its his fault, his lust for darkness was his own pitiful down fall and he faced the light. a fitting end for such a bashful, insignificant little fool.

 

He tried to cure them, so at least we know that he tried to fix his mistake. Then he tried to keep the heartless under the castle so that they couldn't escape. It's not ALL his fault, really. Though he did disobey Ansem the Wise. If it wasn't because of him, all the Roxas fangirls wouldn't have a character to obsess about, would they?​

To a certain extent it was Ansem's fault. His quest for knowledge of the heart led him into darkness. Information is a powerful thing. Although he did try to stop what was happening, things still turned out the way they did. I think some of the things would have still happened though, the heartless and nobodies still would exist because there is still darkness in people's hearts, and as for Organization XIII, Xemnas being his nobody and all, he was just one member of the Organization. The rest of the members still did something to become nobodies. So yes, to an extent it was his fault, but I think the events would've still happened.

 

I say yes because if he never studied them,none of this would have happened.No fake Ansem,no Xemnas.And Roxas would be a guy living the the real Twilight Town because that's where he was born.In Twilight Town.Every member would live where they were born.But Sora,would have no knowledge of the heartless.And there would be no dusks or anything like that.I think.

I think it is in part of Ansem's fault. Though you have to think of something, what sparked his ineterest in the heart?

Perhaps it was a diffrent person(s) that started him off on his pursout for knowledge. Maybe he saw something someone had done and it inspired him. Then you could say it was some of that person's fault if they showed it to him knowing he would seek darkness or want to learn more about the Heart.

 

Actually, heartless would be around even if ansem never studied hearts.and without Xehenort, the organization would be 12, and xibar would probably be the leader (which i would HATE! I HATE XIGBAR!! ANNOYING!!) anyway, the heartless still would've "devoured" Destiny Islands, Riku still would've given into Darkness, The story would still go along, only Xemnas wouldn't be the Leader, Roxas probably would never have met Riku, or left TWNTW to be honest. Also, Since Xigbar would be leading, Marluxia may have not Double-crossed the organization, which means they'd all be there at once to stop Sora and the Others, it might have been they all become whole and have more power, and Sora has to bash through them all with Riku, Mickey, Kiari, Donald, and Goofy on his side. All in all, No i don't this it was Ansem's fault.

He was the one who actually bullied Xehanort, which got him onto the road of destruction. Then a random kid named Sora beat the shinnanagins out of that nobody. Did I spell shinaa...something right?
