Nomura, when you said the events of KHII were the last chronological appearance of Roxas and KHDays was the only chronological appearance of Xion, could you be slightly more specific?

    (Data!Roxas was in coded.)

When did he say that? The endings of both coded and bbs point towards many characters who are dead/trapped/merged with Sora returning through some wierd and unlikely plot device.

Whether or not you think this is a good move on Nomura's part (I am slightly hesitant about it), it is heavily implied.

i really dont think Xion was all that important, i merely think sometimes she was just used to thwart the Roxas/Axel yoai fans xD

Who knows what he's gonna do with the plot for KH3, but one thing i'd love to see is something like TWTNW in KH2 when he fought Roxas in his mind. maybe he can talk to everyone through his subconscious or something to figure out how to bring them to rest. i'd love more of that type of thing. And maybe he could go back to Castle Oblivion and somehow remember everything from CoM since Namine said they'd just be deep in his heart, forgotten but not lost. so that'd be a treat as well and since
the land of departure was turned into castle oblivion by Aqua
maybe it'd be part of the process anyway. i mean all of this could be in KH3. Nomura is just getting more and more unpredictable with every new installment in the series.

    well.....

yes, that is true, but for all we know, he could have only 'liked' Xion because she was part of Sora. But this is a subject that i once again question if Nomura did all of this on porpose, or if like i said, it was all an accident.

Xion was more a consequential character imo.

Would have had any major effect if Days was not made?
    No.

Is she important now that Days is made?
Yes. She served to give concrete reason as to why Roxas came back to TWTNW after leaving initially. Instead of the "I need answers" purpose KH2 set up (which didn't make too much sense), she provided him with "You made me kill my best friend, I MUS KILL D'YOU" reasoning, which does in fact explain why he would go through the trouble of coming back to the guys he had abandoned only three or so days before.

well the topic of this forum is if she was important to the overall storyline, and the answer to that would be no. but she did play a part in EXPLAINING the storyline, but as i have stated b4, i think Nomura just made a big accident and it ended up popular, so he had to try and make the storyline understandable.

I thought she was somewhat important. Her role in 358/2 days tied up some loose ends from KH2 I would say, made things more clear. I also think that if it wasn't for her, Roxas might not have done some of the things he did. That's my opinion tho. >>

Um, what Plum said was part of the overall storyline. A little part of it, made a solid reason why Roxas went back to the people he just quit and why he fought Riku.

If it wasn't for Xion, those would just loose ends/Un-answered questions.

Overall Xion answered unanswered questions in KH2. Case Closed.

realy, Xion was just a way for days to have a storyline. without her days would be pointless. she did tie up some loose strings, but not many large ones.

Why would Roxas change his mind after thinking, "These jerks are overworking all of us and hating on me. I'm out of here." I mean he hated being in the Organization so he left, he wouldn't have gone back to TWTNW if it weren't for trying to do what Xion said before she died. (Setting Kingdom Hearts free)

Yes, but did it matter if he went back? Rikku could of fought him anywhere. it didn't matter if he went back, because Diz told Rikku to erase Roxas' memories, and he could have done that in Twilight Town or in TWTNW

  15. Don't think that's rather hard to explain. Part of his goal was to find the mystery or information behind his existence. It could have easily been the fact that he found some hidden clues on Ventus when he left, or even things in Birth By Sleep in general, considering Xemnas's connection. As well as Roxas's own. Anything could have went on. It doesn't have to be Xion. It's horrible to actually see that the fans are more creative and more imaginative than the actual director and staff.

Now she doesn't have even dual wielding behind her recently, so there goes that one too.
