Kingdom Hearts II Do You Think Nobodies Have An Appetite?

Here's my guess on what a few of them would eat:

Axel: BBQ pork
Marluxia: Salads, all kinds
Xemnas: Sushi
Xigbar: Venison
Demyx: Chinease
Roxas: Ramen

 

Yeah, Axel with BBQ all over his face.
Xemnas, to me, looks like the type of person who would eat something really silly for breakfast, like Wheaties, and something really weird for dinner, like macaroni and pork.

And Luxord gets a beer and something to do with a Panini, right?

I don't know what a Panini is, I've heard it's an Italiano type food.

 

A Panini is a grilled sandwhich with all this stuff in it. Kind of weird if you don't like a lot of food on it.

Nobodies are only deft of a heart, not a stomach, and it's not like they're immortal either. The Organization is DEAD. XDD Plus Sora can beat the shingles out of the little ones at like... five per second. XDD Most beings, nonexistent or not, need some source of energy to keep them going. Basic law of... living? *waves hand at her attempt at logic*

Anyway. My guess is that the humanoid ones - the Organization - would eat more human-like foods than the creatures. The creatures might eat like... fishflakes... or table scraps. D:

... Oh god.

Now I've brought mental images of Dusks and Creepers begging at the kitchen table.

Well, I'm not sure I don't think they would really need to eat, I know Roxas and Axel ate that icecream, but that could be just eating it for the taste rather than eating it out of hunger. Since they're not really living beings I don't think they would folow the rules of normal living things, right?

I'd say they eat sea salt ice cream :D

 

Well that's strange if they don't. Roxas sure was eating all of that sea-salt ice cream.

Of course, I could argue in a biologically correct way that an appetite is just the body's way of attemtping to acquire nutrients and energy to perform basic functions. Now, I'm sure all of us remember back in science classes where they told you that once food is digested, the nutrients travel into the bloodstream while the rest is just waste. The nutrients then travel in the bloodstream to wherever they are needed.

Nobodies lack a heart, so no heart=no blood. No blood means no where for any nutrients to go, so there's no point in getting them then. If Nobodies did it, to put it rather sugar-coatedly, it's just in one end and out the other. Unless, like someone mentioned, they did it for flavors of the foods.

I've got a nutrition major across from me and a bio major down the hall from me, and both are avid KH fans. We've had this discussion many, many times.

 

I don't get why people say Marluxia would be a vegetarian. He -likes- plants and has lame flower petals around him. I think he'd be a meat eater because he's gushy over his plants and wouldn't want to slay them.

Any way, I think that the Nobodies, being what they are, do not -have- to eat but I could think there would be some compulsion to do so just to keep up the act that well, they aren't totally gone, and also as a response to instinct. Being as they had their bodies pretty well destroyed and the new ones created from memories of the soul and mind, I am pretty well sure they don't need to eat in order to survive. Their state of being is 'nonexistent' in that way. However, I doubt eating hurts them any either as it was pointed out that Roxas and Axel were eating ice cream. It's a very 'living' act to eat, so I think sometimes they would just for that reason alone.

Well, in response to Nashida's post, all of that is hinging on the idea that they lost their physical hearts instead of metaphorical ones. If they still had physical hearts, they would still need to eat.

And it would be sort of a force of habit. Even if Organization XIII doesn't need to eat, they would remember eating before and act on memory and instinct. A lot like my theory on why they seem to have emotions.

But anyway... I think they do need to eat. It just wasn't mentioned. Sora was never shown eating or even being hungry during the game either. And we know that he has to eat.

 

My guess would be that nobodies do not per se need to eat (or breathe. or sleep. or whatever a normal body needs) but do so out of habit, or to feel more human. There bodies arent really normal , just some darkness and memories( given that they dissolve into black smoke when dieing), and can "survive" without it. The lesser nobodies have propably lost so much of their humanity (they dont even seem fully sentinent) that they dont.

If they did ate, Axel must have ate almost NOTHING. Axel would be like the red head Shakira if he was a girl. Those hips must have be good for something.

 

I think Axel's family just has skinny genes. Or he's just slender.

 

I don c y not...I mean, Axel shared some ice cream with Roxas in the FM scenes who eats it like everyday!

 

Ya I guess so. Sea Salt Ice Cream seems to be good to them so I guess they would eat it.

 

Didn't it say in some summary/interviewy thing about 385/2 days that after every mission Roxas and Axel sat on the Clock Tower and ate Sea-Salt Ice cream together? ...dunno...
I think Nobodies ate just for the taste. I mean, it would be handy that you could eat all you want and it wouldn't matter. Heck, They probably didn't have to worry about getting fat over ice cream and junk food XD
