I don't know about you but I think Demyx should get more credit for his fighting skills then most people give him. People say that Demyx is the weakest member of the Organ 13 but truthfully I think Zexion is the weakest (yes I love you still Zexy.....). Yeah I know Zexion does illusions but that's not really a fighting skill, if someone out wits Zexion's illusions he's done for (Riku saw to that but....). But Demyx is quite the fighter if you ask me, Zexion gets more credit then he really deserves.

So what do you think? Is Demyx really a good fighter?

Demyx is definitely not weak. During the Hallow Bastion fight, I had to keep fighting and fighting him over again.
Was such a relieve to finally beat him.

Well, each one has their own strengths and weaknesses... I can't really say Zexion is weak or strong because I haven't reached the point where I fight him yet, but I do remember having to try over and over again to beat Demyx in HB. I can't say he's stronger than Zexion, but I can say for certain that Demyx is not weak... although "emotionally" he is kind of a push over, but that's a different matter.

I find Demyx being more of a pushover than Zexion. Yeah, they both use cheap tricks (water clones and the book trapping), but Demyx is uses the cheaper tactic of using a timer. At least Zexion puts up a fair fight when he traps you in the Bookworld.

Demyx is just lazy and doesn't want to fight. He is actually quite a good fighter--there's a whole thread talking about how long it took people to defeat him in the second battle against him in Kingdom Hearts II. I lost to him so many times before saying, "Screw it" and putting the game down for a month before playing it again (and finally beating him).

I really hated that timer thing Demyx used. Only reason why I really lost =/

But he was strong, stronger than any gave him credit for that's for sure. Zexion is strong too, but I see him as someone who's too lazy to actually try and might of gotten weaker over time while relying on his tricks instead of fighting power. But fighting power is only one part to skill. There's planning out the fight and being two steps ahead, which I think Zexion was good at, only he underestimated Riku, and there is a lot of other stuff too.

I also think Demyx still holds on to the morals he had while a somebody, which could of been never to fight or something along those lines. Overall they are both good, otherwise they wouldn't have the numbers they do.

Based on my experience with KH 358/2 Days, I would say that Demyx is stronger than Zexion.

Demyx and Zexion weren't the best fighters, for close up battles. Illusion is a powerful gift, because you only have to believe in it to make it more powerful. Water is also a powerful gift (lol I was just watching a shove on rogue waves) because given enough force, it can flatten steel and turn over ships.

They just both need time and effort to build up in power, and someone with skill in recognizing these powers and getting to the weakspot would have no trouble, such as Riku or Sora.

To spin an illusion, you have to figure out what would hypnotize the person you're working with the most, and make them want to stop fighting. Then you have to get that illusion as perfect as possible to make them believe it.

Water needs pressure and power, something that takes distance and time. A wave at seventy feet tall can overturn a ship easily, but it needs distance to get to that height.

as alot of other people have said, there stronger in there own ways. zexion uses ilusions mainly, not being much of a fighter, and mainly relies on them more than anything else, and if they fail, well, he's dead.

as for demyx, he wasn't much of a fighter either, and usualy left the work to the water under his comand. water balls, water pillars, water walls and ofcourse the dam water clones. rarely does he actualy fight. and, like zexion, if all that fails, hes got nothin else to turn to (nothin much anyways...).

so, there kinda the same, but that go's for the hole organization. there all different, and are all powerful in there own ways...

so, to put in short terms: both.

Everyone here is making the crucial mistake of comparing the two in-game. Balence issues mean that they can't be fully represented. An example is Xemnas in multiplayer in Days. Completely nerfed.

Comparing the two, I would say that Demyx is the weaker. Zexion would have beaten Riku if not for a sudden realisation on Riku's part. Zexion was a threat, while Demyx was just shrugged off.
