I don't think so. Maybe if they were really innovative but if it'd be just more of the same by a new (unknown?) company then people wouldn't get into it easily. That's just my guess though.

They alreayd have one coming soon. It's the DSI.It look like a DS Lite, but with some features that are new,and some that have been dropped.LIke sya godbye to playing GBA games on it.No back-up.And the system has a camera. But the downside is,it's gonna be like $300.I say it's a piece of crap.

it depends. if it can get the same games and some exclusives. but i think someone would have better luck with a portable system instead because it's been a while since a new portable system has been out but i dunno.

Helll no. Not with this recession. And ps3's doing bad enough. Sega, which hasnt made a game system in more than 5 years, and is responsible for ****** games like...dare I say it, Sonic the Hedgehog will do 5x as worse, at least ps3 has a few promising titles that came out in 08 and upcoming ones in 09...

I'm only comparing it to ps3 because I'm assuming out of all 3 systems its doing the worse...(I could be wrong of course, but feel free to insert the worst console in the console war in there^^^)

First, space bar is your friend. Second, the DSi is a new version of the DS. Third, there hasn't been a notable GBA release since the Final Fantasy ports. Fourth, if by "back-up" you mean using the R4, that was illegal in the first place. Fifth, the Japanese price is the equivelent of US$20 more than the DS Lite and not only have they not announced pricing in other regions, it's highly doubtful that it will be much more than the current US$130. Sixth, it also has better and bigger screens. Seventh, it has downloadable software that is only playable on it. Eigth, how about you get your hands on the thing before you declare it a "piece of crap?"

With the economical crisis going on?
Well, I guess that it depends on what it does.

But as of right now, I'm content with what I have.
    So, no.

not at all, there are too many consoles, not many people would be able to afford every new game system that comes out.

I think there's too many consoles now as it is to make having a new one worth it. 3 home consoles, 2 handhelds, and now cell phones and iPods can support games - there's plenty.

Plus, as others mentioned, we're in a recession. I dunno, I'm pretty sure making sure I have enough money for food right now is more important than getting the next-gen. But that's just recently-jobless me.

I think it really depends on the comapany that makes the new console
