Well you can unlock the other characters without any skill (assuming you can beat the actual characters when you try to unlock them). Invite a bunch of your friends over and play a bunch of timed matches and you'll eventually have enough fights to battle the "New Challengers". It takes a while, but it goes by fast if you play it with your friends.

Honestly, it's not that big of a deal to be good or bad at video games, it's not like it's a skill you'll need later in life, lol. So long as you're having fun with the games you're playing, that's al that matters, whether you play terribly, or you play as if you were the best in the world. Even if the games you play are easy, if you'rehaving fun then you don't really need to care about how your 'gaming skill' ranks up to people playing harder games.

You get better at Super Smash Bros through experience, practicing with your friends and stuff helps you learn how to properly dodge and block, technqiues and combos that help you attack and edgeguard your opponent, and how to properly use whatever character you prefer.

It also helps to watch Combo Videos of other people playing the game, so you can learn what kinds of things other players are doing, and then try and adapt some of their moves so you're a better player

    I guess your right.

sometimes I really do take videogames too seriously:sweat:

I'm videogamecrazyboy, what did you expect?

and I still keep on playing them even though I'm not very good at them.

and your right, it really is just about having fun:)

I really overreacted in my last post.

and once I get enough posts I'll go have my username changed from videogamecrazyboy to VideoGameCrazyMan.:D

Okay, I'm not posting here because I suck.

I'm posting because of how pissed I am at how Marth isn't as awesome as he used to be and that's my excuse for not being "as good." Though I am still really good, I occasionally lose (more like 50% of the time) against my friend who is a Sonic main (he can get smash orbs so much better than me sometimes, or I'm careless).

I suck with pretty much everyone but Marth, Ike, Sonic, Metaknight (who isn't good with Metaknight?), Wario and Wolf. Those were my favorites before I played and still are, amazingly. lol

What were you not able to complete?

Don't worry, you probably don't suck near as bad as me cause I have trouble winning even on easy.

but...I did just manage to unlock every character but Ganondorf.

It was hard but I FINALLY did it.

May I make a sugestion: If you were good at Melee, connect your old Gamecube controller to your Wii, and play that way.

Ampex's Fun Fact#723950.44: In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Wiimote should only be used to put your friends at a hillarious disadvantage.

    Heed my advice, Videogamecrazyboy.

Thanks for the advice but how does using the Wiimote put my friends at a disadvantage when I'm not good at using it?

and yes, I do use the Gamecube controller.

I personally can't imagine playing this game any other way.

Lol Ampex and I really suck we got the Wii three days ago. And Brawl.

I don't know how much advice I can give you. Try switching the hand you are holding the remote with with the one that you are holding the nunchuck with. I did that and I got a little better. Yup, that's all the advice. Sorry!

He uses a gamecube controler, sis. And the awkward control style of the Wiimote should allow you to faceplant even the strongest oppenets (Exept for the King of Marylanmd and his Immortal Blissey.)

    Thanks for your help:)

I think I've gotten a little better cause now I've managed to unlock every character except Ganondorf.:)

If only I could find those trophies I'm supposed to get...

EDIT: Found em! and now I have every character!

    Yay!

    *raises hand*

I am the epic failure when it comes to Super Smash Bros Brawl. But then again, that might be because I've only played the originally Super Smash Bros. on the N64 (that game owns, a classic), and I've played Brawl for a total of five minutes at a friend's house. Sadly, I don't have my Wii yet. I've only got my X360 to hold me over until then. Should be getting it around June. . . :(

Okay, I decided to bump this thread so that other people can see it and post in it.

    I've improved a little.

    But VERY little.

I CAN at least beat classic mode on normal. but I lose most of my lives when I do.

and I can't beat classic mode on hard unless I use 5 lives, Ike and at least 1 continue.

It was nothing but sheer luck that I managed to unlock all the characters.

I really should just give up...

I am NEVER gonna improve anymore than this...

I think I'm gonna stop playing this game real soon now and just go back to playing my other games.

Yes...I know I'm probably the worst person that's ever played this game. You don't have to rub it in!

Bud...You're rubbing it in yourself XD Why the hell would you guys waste your time saying how much you suck just to put yourselves down, feel sorry for yourselves, and attempt to gain pity when you can just pick up the controller and PLAY? ¦D Then again why am I wasting my time saying anything about it?...Well I'm just bored with nothing better to do at the moment XD

As for me, due to constant Online Play, many thrashfests with Lvl9 CPUs for many hours straight, and taking on the extremely annoying, but epically awesome task of clearing Subspace Emissary at 100% all on Intense WHILE going through the story(Instead of going back to the mission later on Intense), yeah, I don't suck. ¦D My main is Sonic, and I kick ass with everyone in the game now thanks to clearing the Event Matches on Hard.

Though I will say, number 41 is beyond cheap. Even on Easy it was too hard for me at first XD took 3 tries on Easy, 1 on Normal, and about 163 on Hard before I finally fully completed it XD I've cleared Boss Battles on Intense once, since they couldn't take all the FALCONE PAWNCH!! D:

...Yeah, I feel good today ¦3

    Now that's just plain rude!

Dude...Please...This thread is only for people who suck at Brawl.

So if you don't suck at Brawl and/or can't say anything nice then kindly keep your thoughts to yourself Okay?

It's not rude, it's just the truth. And the truth hurts buddy. ¦3 But seriously, suck it up and and get better or take a break and play somethin' else. But don't be so emotistical over a game. XD

    Side Note: Whats with you and the constant double spaces? Just curious ¦D;
Edit: Also, love the Demyx quote. XD

Well...I admit sometimes I overreact and make a crisis out of things that I shouldn't. But seeing as how this is the best and most popular game in the world and everybody is SO much better at it than me really gives me an inferiority complex.

hehe...I wondered how you would react to the Demyx quote. XD

I would sugest finding a wheight class that suits your style. There are three classes:

lightweights: weak attacks, realy fast. ex:Sonic. good against middleweights
midleweights: balanced characters. decent speed and attacks. ex: Mario. good against heavyweights: Strong, haed to send flying, slow. Ex: Donkey Kong. good against lightwheigts.

Build partys with the class your good at in Subspace. I personaly like lightweights.

    Thanks for the advice Ampex.:)

My best Character is Ike. but that's still not saying much cause I can't beat classic mode on hard with him unless I use 5 Lives and at least one continue.T_T

btw, I DID beat Subspace Emissary but not at 100% just so you know.

and a really weird thing is I CAN beat boss mode on easy and my friend can't. and he's better than me too.

Plus he was using Metaknight when he tried.

    Pretty weird huh?

and I'll say one more thing in this post:

What The Heck is with those new challengers that appear?!?!

    They are C-H-E-A-P CHEAP!!!

and I fought them on easy mode too!!!

If they're gonna call it easy mode they outta do it for a dang reason!!!

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest.
