...the hell. In order for someone to break your shield you basically have to be sitting still for a good 15 seconds not even doing anything....if you block your opponent's attack with a shield, they're sitting wide open afterwards..all you have to do it attack them

What difficulty are you playing on? Playing the game on "Easy" basically has all of your opponents standing still 90% of the time.

Uhh, no, mashing buttons doesn't work at all, you have to know how to actually attack properly >.> just mashing A makes you stand still, you have to actually use your attacks properly.

    Watch this:

Or go to "Data" and "Videos" and click on "How to Play", because it sounds like you don't even know the basics of how to play the game...

If you play with the Wiiremote on it's side, you're basically going to be terrible at the game no matter what. That control scheme is the absolute worst one available and is extremely hard to play with and control properly. If you're going to play Brawl, get yourself a Gamecube Controller, or a Wii Classic Controller from your local game store.

Nope, I actually don't suck at lnog as I'm not facing Pitt. I play as Link most of the time, and when I get an enemy in the air, I'm f*cking dangerous, I abuse all the combos and if I jsut can't make them launch into the backround, I jump above them as they fall and come down with the Down+A(air) attack.

I wasn't doing so great to begin with but I quickly got back into the swing of things, I can do most things on Hard, yes I currently find it a tad difficult but I can do it.

But I have noticed that the AI is a bit smarter this time when it comes to shield and other things. At least I think so anyway, it could just be me.

Honestly in this game practise makes perfect.

I CAN complete easy mode. but that's it.

My main problem is not being able to beat the new challengers that appear.

the reason for that is because the new challengers that appear are ALWAYS on a higher difficulty level than easy.

and I always end up taking 60% or more damage before I can even TOUCH them.:bangbang:

Sometimes when I play this game I get SO frustrated and mad that I almost throw down my controller and break it.

I'm starting to think maybe I should just give up. . .

    Play Ike, use his Forward-Smash.

That's all you have to do.

I think I'm really good because I unlock all the characters and stages in a day and a half

    =D

    I'm not great, but i wouldn't say i suck. I can select characters. ;P

In the very first match i played online was against 2 Links and a Kirby. It didn't start well. The game froze and i fell off. Then i came back strong. The other Links put the name of Link to shame! I killed each player several times, basically kickin' their creams in. I'm no pro, but i'm awright...as long as the games doesn't slow down.

It's somethin' that i hate about the online play, the time from when i press a button to Links reaction is terribly slow, resultin' in many mistakes. I fnd it slow mostly at the weekends.

By the way, for folk that don't know me, Link is my main guy. ;P

That's kinda similar to my problem.

My problem is that I'm also good at other games but not this one.

I just wish there was an easier way to unlock Starwolf,Toon Link,Jigglypuff and Ganondorf >_<

I'd say it depends. I fought my little bro who's a game freak and in SSBM I lost to him 100,000,000 times. In SSBB I had a 1/6 chance to beat him with Pit. So I'd say I kinda suck but I'm getting better.

Chances are, the other games you play that you are good at aren't, you know, difficult games at all.

Like, if you're using Kingdom Hearts as a benchmark of how good you are at games, chances are you're not very good, especially if you've ever found the Kingdom Hearts series difficult in the slightest.
