Well, I like a lot of brands of music. I mostly listen to country, because I think it's good music, especially the new stuff. I also am stariting to rock bands like everesence and all those other bands. I also listen to Japanese music, but only to animes.

The music I really don't like is rap, modern hip-hop, and R&B.

I don't like rap either. I listen to all kinds of rock: industrial, metal, funk, progressive, alternative, some classic. I really try to stick to rock. But I do like me some Aphex Twin.

Again, pop country or stuff like Johnny Cash and The Charlie Daniels Band?

Well, rock is one of my favorite genres, so I have a lot of that. But that's not all I listen to. I like a little bit of country, a little bit of pop, some alternative, lots of Christian music...so I do like to mix it up somewhat. Oh, and I have a small bit of rap (at least, I consider it to be rap xP).

Not a genre. Another umbrella term that gets way too much use instead of a proper genre.

    Cute.

Anyway, if you find Johnny Cash boring, fine. No matter how influential and important he is, he's not the most exciting musician in the world, but you honestly think this is boring? And not to mention that if it weren't for country influence songs like this and this would never have been written.

I pretty much listen to anything but rap/hip-hop. I go for a while listening to one type of music and then switch to another.

I like rap. Not radio-bullshit rap, not really gangster rap either unless it's gangster rap from a credible gangster like Cassidy. I'm more into rappers who focus on skill with words and a message.

Then I also like Rock. Nothing heavy though. I'm more into alternative type stuff I guess. Don't really know how to classify my rock taste really.

And then I like orchestrated type stuff, like Yoko Whateverhernameis and Takeharu Ishimoto. Mostly from video games.

    And much more.

I guess I should be more clear.

The reason I hate almost every country song is the lack of any kind of variety, in song matter, instrument use, sound, etc. Songs like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" and "Freebird", I do like, because of how much talent they take to play, as well as being original (no whiny **** about ex's or whatever here), but I'd consider them more Southern Rock than Country.

I listen to tons of stuff. ;-; it's kinda depressing, now that i think about it. I like Techno, SOME pop and hip-hop, rock, screamo, soft rock, oldies (don't hate :P ), J-Pop, and J-Rock. :D

Actually, what you described was pop-country, not actual country.

Never, always gotta be listening to different types of music, its stupid to stay with one kind. All music influences other kinds of music sticking to one type, I can't do that you need that expansion hear new sounds and how they fit. My playlists go from metal to hyphy to reggae and everywhere else except country. One thing I say no to, other than that gotta have a wide variety.
